ALT Adrian Cadena Medina. In my free time, I play guitar, spend time with my family, dogs, and friends, and root for my favorite sports teams.

R and Python are my go-tos. At work I use Dataiku, Power BI, Oracle, and Tableau.

I am bad under pressure and very nervous when people are watching. That's why I decided to join SLICED, to work on that and challenge myself.

ALT Canzhi Ye. I like to bike and run. I’m a mediocre chess player and a big NBA and Michigan sports fan. I bet on sports with models I build.

I’m a recent convert from Sublime to Jupyter notebooks inside VS Code. I reach for catboost first since its hyperparam defaults are so good.

My new company -- sidelinehd.com -- puts live scoreboards onto youth baseball / softball live streams.

ALT Josiah Parry. I’m a huge espresso nerd and my favorite way to travel is by coffeeshop-hopping. I’m also a huge music buff with a secret love for metalcore and post-hardcore. My rig for SLICED is a MacBook Pro and maybe RStudio Server Pro! I’m really interested in the use of R in the public sector, non-profit and progressive electoral politics.

ALT Scott Cole. Every morning, I wake up at 6am to wander the city while it's still empty, listen to podcasts, and feel the effects of caffeine. My setup is pretty basic. For SLICED I’m using a Jupyter notebook on a MacBook Pro my PhD advisor bought me. Though I have a "real job" now, I still like to live like a grad student. Each day I eat 1-2 clif bars and a can of chickpeas.
