It is crazy what we are witnessing in this day and age. We are witnessing so many Muslims ready to throw away Jannah for a social media post. Social media has made people so comfortable writing things they are going to regret when they are held accountable for them.

But that doesn't make it so.
Kubrick's The Shining is a better movie than King's book is a book. I said what I said.

Ibn Abbas رضي الله عنهما said, “There is no believer or sinner but that Allah Almighty has decreed his provision from the lawful. If he is patient until it comes to him, Allah will give it to him. If he becomes anxious and consumes something from the unlawful, Allah will decrease his provision from the lawful.” [Ḥilyat al-Awliyā’ 1184]

The families of assistant medical officer Alexson Adit Henry and staff nurse Jessie Paya Jok, both of whom were from Miri, Sarawak, say they expected more support from the Ministry of Health (MOH) after their loved ones died in the line of duty in the Flying Doctor Service (FDS) helicopter crash. Funeral expenses were covered instead by the helicopter operator, Layang Layang Aerospace. Jessie's funeral cost more than RM40,000. Both families told CodeBlue in separate interviews at their homes in Miri last Oct 2 that MOH has yet to inform them the amount or timeline for federal ex-gratia payments. Alexson's widow Stephanie Essah Incham, a homemaker with a degree in business administration, is left to manage a car loan and the costs of raising their two young children, including a two-year-old who still requires formula and diapers. “The Malaysian government has been silent so far. Even the health minister has not announced any assistance or compensation. This was not an ordinary accident; they were serving people in remote areas,” says Alexson's father, Henry Empurai. Alexson's sister, Annastasia Luyah Henry, wants to know what caused the helicopter crash. “Let these five heroes be the last to lose their lives. What can the government do in terms of health care infrastructure and assets? We know this asset is very old. Why did they choose this old asset? That’s one thing that is on our minds,” she says. Jessie's widower, Larry Bilong Kule, repeatedly sought answers from the Miri divisional health office in the days after the Sept 8 crash. “I felt like I was begging them, asking for help at the time. Every day, I begged – how could you assist?” he says. The Miri divisional health office recently handed donations to both families. “My wife received testimonials from people everywhere about her service and dedication – she was a reflection of MOH and gave the ministry a good name. How can they not see that?” says Larry. “It’s not that we are money-minded. We are just asking for their rights.” “They couldn’t even take care of her funeral.” Both Henry and Larry urged the federal government to provide their families additional financial compensation or assistance beyond the ex-gratia payments owed. Buatlah apa pun asalkan bagi wife jadi surirumah utk jaga anak dan rumah. Kalau dia request utk nak ada income, ‘gajikan’ dia. Kita terlalu bergantung pada riba. Semua benda loan dan paylater. That’s why gaji laki bini walaupun banyak akan sentiasa tak cukup. Tengok bapak kita dulu mcm mana? Sorang kerja pun mampu tanggung bini dan anak 3 orang. Sebab dia hidup “below his means”. Jimat mana boleh asalkan tak hutang dan makan riba keliling pinggang. Pray for me. I’m working hard to retire my wife so she could take care of my daughter. Aku takkan tambah anak kedua selagi aku tak mampu pencenkan isteri aku. Kesian bukan pada dia, tapi pada anak2 nanti sebab terabai mak bapak depa kerja mcm nak mampus hari2 sebab nak kena bayar hutang dan riba. Serik sangat dahhh. 😅😅😅
Dari kecik jaga? Apa yg jaga bila 3 bulan dah start celakakan ke pengasuh? Lepas tu celakakan anak ke taska pula whole day. Jumpa anak pun bila dah malam. Repeat sampai mampos. Cuti sekolah je dapat spend time. Tu pun hadap jem lepak chalet hotel shj. Didik apa wahai ahlul riba?

The day after I was sacked from the FCO for whistleblowing on torture and extraordinary rendition, Vanessa and Corin Redgrave took me out to dinner to cheer me up.
The absolute fearlessness. Delivering a potentially career-ending speech with perfect enunciation and zero hesitation. What happened to Vanessa Redgrave after this i really wondered.

The only way to know if the topic of death is taboo to your patient is to ask them. If you simply assume that it is and avoid the subject, you might miss the opportunity to greatly address their suffering. Some patients and caregivers are, in fact, waiting for you to ask.
