Annual Data Protection and Privacy Compliance Reporting is now underway.
Registered data controllers, data collectors and data processors are required to prepare and submit their Annual Compliance Reports by 23rd ๐๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐๐ซ 2026.

Baker Birikujja, National Personal Data Protection Director at the Personal Data Protection Office, Uganda (PDPO), will deliver a presentation on "Data Protection & Privacy Compliance for NGOs."
With more than a decade of experience in data privacy governance, regulatory affairs and cybersecurity, and having been involved in drafting Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act and its Regulations, Baker will walk NGOs through their obligations as data collectors, controllers and processors: registration with PDPO, consent, data security, breach reporting and what regulators look for.
For organisations that handle sensitive information on children, patients, refugees and other vulnerable groups, this is a session not to miss.

The National Personal Data Protection Director, Baker Birikujja, will be speaking at the Data Protection Africa (DPA) Summit 2026 in Nigeria.
The annual summit brings together regulators, policymakers, innovators, and civil society to share experiences, exchange best practices, and discuss policy and innovation as they work to build a trusted digital future for Africa.
