People say Enzo Fernandez can't be replaced. Why? Because what he offers in terms of ball progression, box-crashing and clutch goals simply can't be replaced by one single player on the market. But who said we have to replace him with one player? Why not two? The reality is, Enzo has already been 50% replaced. We signed Morgan Rogers for a club-record fee to play in the position that suits Enzo best in this system — as the left-sided 10. The other 50% simply needs to replace his ball progression. It's also important to remember that, as big as Enzo's strengths were, his weaknesses were just as obvious. His lack of physicality and poor OOP play were glaring. So instead of looking for one player who can magically replicate everything Enzo does, replace his strengths across two players — without carrying over his weaknesses. If you can do that, you haven't just replaced Enzo. You've potentially made the team better. He's already been 50% replaced. He'll be 100% replaced once we know he's leaving.
