Her owner is Maria Grant, a mother in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
About three weeks ago, Maria heard a knock at the door just before 9 p.m.
She opened it and was immediately struck in the head.
"He's just hitting me over the head with a hammer, and all I'm feeling is the hits and then the waves of blood coming down my face and he didn't stop," Maria told WCCO.
She knew the man. He had done yard work for her.
He had walked her dog.
That night, she says, he showed up wearing a wig.
Maria was on the floor, bleeding, when he turned toward the staircase.
Her young children were asleep upstairs.
That is when Athena went lunged at the man.
"She was biting him," Maria said. "And I could see the bl00d coming out of his legs from his jeans."
He never made it up the stairs.
According to charging documents, he fled the scene and showed up at a hospital... with dog bite wounds.
Maria ended up with SIX STAPLES in her head, but thankfully her children slept through the whole thing.
"This is the closest I've ever been to de*th," Maria said.
"I'm grateful she was there... I don't think I'd be here without her. I think I'll be laying over there on the floor."
The man is now charged with second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, and there is an active warrant out for him.
Maria is healing. Her kids are safe.
And a 7-year-old pit bull did what she was born to do.

Former USPS worker in Utah has been charged with throwing away over 300 mail in ballots
🚨 The Route the ballots were supposed to be delivered was a HEAVILY REPUBLICAN area
The USPS driver was assigned to deliver mail to 300+ addresses, he had hundreds of ballots clearly marked as ballots. He then separated the ballots from other mail shortly after starting his shift
Did not deliver a single ballot, instead he dumped the ballots 90 minutes later in a church parking lot
The route was Eagle Mountain in Utah County. That route sits in a heavily Republican area, sometimes over 86% of voted for to Republicans in this area

Have you noticed that the community that is most vocal in warning about the Islamification of the USA is the GWOT veterans’ community?
That’s because we saw things with our own eyes that are hard for others to believe:
1. The treatment of women as chattel property. Goats are treated better than daughters—no exaggeration.
2. Widespread pedophilia and bestiality while at the same time people we call “LGBTQ+” in the West are subject to barbaric methods of execution.
3. An absolute lack of freedom of religion.
4. Wanton disregard for human life.

6. Wholly corrupt governments; bribery as a uniform standard.
7. Tribalism to an extreme: tribe trumps truth and justice, always.

10. Acceptance of the idea that lying can be and is necessary and proper.

Labor Day 2026. 11 AM. Chandler Creek Park. Round Rock, Texas.
White 62-year-old Andrew Wimsatt takes a seat on his favorite bench. Three minutes later, Black 26-year old Benedict Chinedu Ogbodiegwu Jr. sneaks up behind him and plunges a knife into his neck. Ogbodiegwu stabs Wimsatt repeatedly until Wimsatt falls to the ground. This is when Ogbodiegwu kneels on Wimsatt's dying body and begins sawing away at his neck as if to behead him.
As the body of Andrew Wimsatt lays lifeless in the park, Ogbodiegwu returns home, changes his clothes, and heads to McDonald's for lunch.

Andrew Wimsatt was a research engineer and expert in pavement materials and infrastructure assessment in Texas. In his spare time, he enjoyed doing photography in local parks. On Labor Day, that's exactly what he was doing before a dreadlocked Nigerian killed him for sport and tried to saw his head off.

The CPT code system is meant to be this five-digit code that is a universal language for documenting and reporting for all the things that we do in healthcare back to insurance companies, right and ultimately, that affects reimbursement.
But here's a wrinkle that you might not have known.
The AMA also actually makes a recommendation to the government about a value that's assigned to the CPT codes that they own. That's right. They own the system. They're making money off of that, and then they're also recommending back to CMS and ultimately to insurance companies how much doctors and providers are paid for those codes.
That is quite a lot of power for one organization to hold over the money that's exchanged in this healthcare system.
So they're making that three hundred million dollars a year licensing it, but then they're also influencing what I get paid for everything that I do. Interesting…..”

Take Great Value ground black pepper:
- Charged price: $3.58
- Stated unit price is 89.5 cents per ounce
- Stated weight is 3 ounces
Here’s the math check:
Expected price: 3 \times 0.895 = 2.685 → $2.69 or $2.70 if they round up
Walmart is selling this item for $3.58 on the shelf but it should only be $2.70
So $3.58 − $2.70 means they are stealing $0.88 from every customer
