I just invested into one of my favorite software companies.
I've been using this company for over a half-decade and keep seeing it get better and better. They not only listen to user feedback and feature requests but they let their customers get skin in the game.
Kudos to @pchamana @hospitable

People are often shocked to learn that *on average,* someone's net salary in France is 40% of what was paid by the employer (and this is not counting the 20% sales tax slapped on everything).
This does add up: France's public spending hit 62% of GDP in 2020: the public sector is 50% bigger than the private sector.
If you dare suggest we should reduce these taxes, people not only fail to understand that this would mean their wages would go up; they bitterly attack you for "wanting tax cuts for the rich."
I've been saying Europe was over much for a long time. It was already true when I left in 2012, and it's only gotten worse since then. It's been a walking corpse for 30-40y, and it's only gradually becoming more obvious over time.

Shared 2 open roles at @hospitable on LinkedIn yesterday. My LinkedIn RN:
You would be amazed to learn how many people do not follow the simple guidelines:
- Read the job post
- Follow the instructions
- Put in some effort
We usually get thousands of applicants. You could see this as a reason not to apply, but I encourage you to see it the other way around.
Simply reading the post, following the instructions and putting in some effort will easily get you in the top 5% of candidates.
Don't use AI, show your personality and genuine interest, tell me what you built instead of what tool you used and there is a large chance we'll be speaking to you soon.

Rippling sued @Deel today. Our lawsuit alleges Deel cultivated a spy at Rippling & orchestrated a long-running trade-secret theft. The spy searched “deel” in our systems 23 times per day on avg, letting him spy on Deel’s own customers who were considering a switch to Rippling.

ChartMogul (and @Nick_Franklin) have released their Benchmark products.
Benchmarks are for losers.
No (ambitious) founder should be interested in benchmarking for their own business. Benchmarking is a rear-view mirror, always. You are always more successful than another company. If benchmarking is about providing a sense of validation, talk to your customers.
That said, one lesson is absolutely daunting on me from this graph:
This graph shows the time to reach $20m ARR from the first revenue.
Some businesses are slower than others. The top 10% of companies reach $20m within 11 months from $10m, the top 25% in 6 months (!), the median within 8 months, and the slowest 25% within 1 year 3 months.
Even after 7 years of slower-ish growth, every Saas that passes $10m goes just vertical. 6 months may be an eternity in Saas, but this is also pretty much nothing as a difference between the slowest and the fastest Saas.
This graph shows that at $10m ARR everything unblocks, as if all the resistance capitulated out of the sheer strength the business can deploy then. So much so that even the slowest quartile Saas adds as much revenue in one year than they did in the previous 7 years.
This real, live data from ChartMogul, is the best example that it does not matter how long you take to get there, what matters is getting to $10m.
It's also the best empirical evidence of the biggest saying in Saas: $0m - $1m is impossible, $1m - $10m is improbable, but $10m - $100m is inevitable. Meanwhile, keep shipping.

I offer to rename "the tech industry" as "Satya's backyard". AGI belongs to our future, and wherever it happens, Satya has it.
Until it becomes Sam's, inevitably, within 2 years (co-CEO status).
Congrats to competitors for being the first in the world to release GPT-4 Turbo to their customers in 3 weeks.

The joy of raising through customers is really quite something. We don't have a pro pitch deck, no 5 year financial projection plan, just experts in the field who recognize our product's value and potential for themselves and the industry.
It's still early, and you can join in your qualify at invest.hospitable.com. There is more information available for you there :)
Thanks @fairmint, and thanks Derek!
