Last year we launched Tolan, inspired by a vision of AI that sees you and believes in you, not one that books restaurant reservations for you. Your Tolan shows up for you at 3am when you’re alone with your newborn. On your commute when you’re anxious about the day ahead. When you just finished a new show and none of your friends have watched it yet. The people who love Tolan are parents. Caregivers. Moms in Dallas and Dads in Atlanta. People who aren’t trying to optimize and be more productive, but who simply want to feel seen and supported in their aspirations. This month more than 250k people will spend time with their Tolan. Those users have exchanged billions of messages across more than 70m conversations over the last year. Today, we're announcing $30m in additional capital from @mignano and @usv, with @khoslaventures and @rabois doubling down, bringing our total capital raised to $60m. To celebrate, we made a short film celebrating some of the ways that Tolans show up :)

We've spent the better part of 2026 building the tools companies need to put AI to work: Stack, Token Spend Management, Router.com, and Glass. Today we raised $1.85B at $60B valuation. There are now 85,000 businesses on Ramp saving a combined $1B+ a month. We still have so much to build.

Today, Ramp raised $1.85B at a $60B valuation. Seven years ago, Karim and I wrote our mission on a Post-it: “Save companies time and money.” Our mission hasn't changed. It’s just gotten bigger.

NEW: Inside Thrive Capital w/ Partner Dr. Nworah Ayogu Investing in Neuralink, OpenAI, Isomorphic Labs, OpenEvidence, Oscar Health & the next trillion-dollar healthcare companies. @ThriveCapital manages $65B+ in AUM, having raised $10B+ for Thrive X earlier this year. Healthcare has been part of the firm's DNA since inception, with Josh Kushner incubating Oscar Health alongside Thrive itself. The firm has incubated ~10 healthcare companies, the majority valued at over $1B, including Oscar Health, Cedar, Rightway & Cadence. I sat down with Nworah (@nworahayogu), a Harvard-trained, board-certified physician & neuroscientist, former Amazon Clinic GM & Amazon Pharmacy's first Chief Medical Officer, to break down AI's next frontier in medicine. We cover: ›› Isomorphic Labs: Demis Hassabis, AI-designed drugs & the race to compress drug development from 10 years to 4 ›› Neuralink: $9B last funding valuation, brain implants, surgical robotics & restoring independence to patients with paralysis ›› OpenEvidence: $15B valuation, ~$300M annualized revenue & adoption by more than 65% of US physicians. Why AI could create 10X doctors ›› OpenAI: Why healthcare could become AI's most important use case, from clinical reasoning to personalized medicine Thrive's thesis: Building companies that are world-class in both technology & medicine, with investments spanning Chai Discovery, Formation Bio, Nudge, Fortell, Nourish & more “Because as a nation, I think we need a 10X nurse a lot more than we need a 10X engineer.” 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐒 (00:00) Dr. Nworah Ayogu, Partner at Thrive Capital (01:52) The next AI trade is hiding in biotech (03:48) How AI designs a new drug (08:37) 9 out of 10 drugs fail, can AI flip that? This has been my experience. Agents help me handle life admin that is emotionally taxing or plain tedious. This includes: - coordinating elder care nurses - moving logistics (finding, booking, and coordinating movers) - sending gifts - bill-tracking & so much more My plate is both lighter and more full
We need more women building and playing with AI. AI is fun *and* so helpful, particularly for women. Dazzle.ai is designed for everyone, but, because it understands taste, brand loyalties, and the visuals of your life, it’s particularly well-suited for women. #FortuneMPW

“The best people I’ve seen building things are playing” says @MattHartman, who wrote the first check into @huggingface (sold to Nvidia for ~$13B) His approach is to find the newly technically possible, then find the founders already tinkering there. He's backed @factoryai, @modal & more. Always a treat to chat & special shoutout to @mignano & @alxai_ referenced on the pod! 👋
.@MattHartman assumes every early-stage startup will pivot. That's why he backs technical founders who can "move with where the world goes." Now founder and managing partner of Factorial Capital, Hartman was part of the Betaworks team that wrote @huggingface's first check in 2016—when it was still a chatbot app for teenagers, before it became the largest community for open-source AI, set to be acquired by @nvidia for $13 billion. On this week's episode of The Every Podcast, he tells @NataliaZarina how he spots new opportunities, what makes a founder's insight worth backing, and why vibe-coding his own app gave him a new respect for SaaS. Introduction How Hugging Face went from a teen chatbot to the home of open-source AI The three decisions that set Hugging Face on its path Hartman's approach to finding the newly technically possible Why Hartman backs technical founders How Factorial’s portfolio founders source its next deals Why faster iteration makes product insight the most valuable skill What Hartman learned building Ghost Pepper, an open-source voice-to-text app Hartman's current theses, from non-language models to full-stack AI apps Why the best founders right now are experimenting

Coming soon (tomorrow!) — BUILT TO GROW, our field guide to creating excellent sales orgs, by the inimitable @she_travels. I have a bunch of these taking up way too much space in our storage rooms. Would love to make some house calls this week to SF startups who are building their sales teams. Email me (in bio!). And let me know if you’re a @stripe user!

There are a few essays a year that totally shift my perspective on startups and strategy. This was one of those. MSCHF has raised 11M from Founder's Fund, released over 100 products in the last 5 years, and has done so while being true to their taste. every.to/napkin-math/the-art…

🐝 “The chief characteristic of any superorganism is that its power transcends the power of its parts. So the superorganism of AI, this AI environment, will transcend the power of its parts – which will include all the frontier models of the time, and the most powerful specialized AIs for math, or biology, or world building, and the general purpose everyday AIs running the back offices of corporations.” — @kevin2kelly kevinkelly.substack.com/p/sw…

All plausible science fiction can be realized within our lifetime. If you’re reading this, you’re one of the humans whose responsibility is to make the future Star Trek, not 1984.
