Well, now is not the time to lay down and die. It's not like we haven't been kicked in the teeth before. It's not like we haven't had to deal with racists, bigots, and generally hateful people before. We've dealt with women's rights, anti-civil rights, segregation, Jim Crow, lynching, immigration and the murders of Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, John F Kennedy and many others. This isn't our first fight.
We've dealt with white supremacists like George Wallace, Bull Conner, Strom Thurmond, and a host of many others, and we stood toe to toe and fought.
