Sorry to interrupt your Sunday, friends. I really hesitated to write this, but if I don’t speak up today, I will be facing a severe financial crisis within a week or two. To be clear, I am not asking for charity or financial help. I am asking for work. I have been completely without work for the last three months. My last project ended on June 30th, and since then I have knocked on every door I know—calling, texting, meeting contacts, and following up. People say they will try, but after that first talk, the silence takes over. Calls go unanswered or get cut after a couple of rings. I honestly don't know whether the industry is shifting because of AI or if my age (52) is working against me, but despite over 13 years of solid experience in the field, nothing has materialized. Now, my savings are down to the very end. I can barely hold out for another week or two. I am a professional content writer, translator, and speaker who is comfortable on stage and in front of the camera. I write and translate fluently across Gujarati, Hindi, and English, with Gujarati being my strongest suit. Many of you already know my grasp of politics and my political writing, but I am equally adept at covering Bollywood and cricket. My priority is media houses, digital platforms, or publications, but I am open to any genuine writing or translation opportunity. I can work remotely or take up assignments on-site anywhere in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar, as I need to be close to my elderly mother to take care of her health. Because my situation is urgent, I am especially looking for quick-turnaround freelance assignments or immediate projects where payments can be settled on submission. If you or anyone in your circle has work, please reach out to me directly in my DMs. A humble, earnest request: while I deeply value your warmth, please refrain from sending just "best wishes" or "stay strong" messages right now. I am fighting hard to stay out of a very dark headspace, and right now, only actual work leads can pull me through. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for your support. My inbox is open. 🙏

my eyes watered up watching this. it is so emotional. Smit says sorry to PM Modi for crying before him and he says 'mere saamne nahi emotional honge to kiske saamne honge?' i would 100% break down if someone were to tell me this with so much affection. the conversation in gujarati torward the end made me cry-smile. this is how leader should be.

Built a small web app to help kids/beginners to learn shlokas . Tap each pāda, hear it chanted, with a soft tambura underneath. A Beginners set plus an Advanced section (Yantroddhāraka Hanuman Stotra and many more on the way). Recitations powered by Vāgbodhinī, @prathoshap's brilliant tool. #8YearsOfAyushmanBharat

It has become fashionable these days to abuse IITs and their faculties. I get it, freedom of speech, healthy skepticism of institutions, all fair game. But before that fashionable takedown becomes the whole story, sit with this 1 fact for a second.... Right now, last month, IIT profs have put more free, peer-reviewed, university grade course content into the world than any other institution on the planet, and most Indians have never watched a single hour of it. 2001.... A handful of IIT directors come back from a trip to Carnegie Mellon, having seen an American prof build an entire functioning university around teaching people online. They are stunned enough to try replicating it for India, in engineering, at a scale nobody had attempted before. The idea finally took shape under Atal Bihari Vajpayee's government. The man holding the HRD portfolio through that entire stretch, 1998-2004, was Murli Manohar Joshi, himself a physics prof before he was ever a minister. On January 26, 2003, months before NPTEL's own official rollout that year, Joshi Ji personally inaugurated a companion initiative, the Eklavya Technology Channel, explicitly built to beam actual IIT classrooms into homes across the country. 7 IITs and the IISc quietly went live. No press conference most people remember. Just profs, cameras, and a govt that wrote the check for something nobody could fully prove would work. The word "MOOC" did not even exist yet. Coursera and edX launched in 2012. The term was not even coined until 2008. NPTEL was already recording real lectures years before Silicon Valley invented free online university education and got magazine covers for it. India did not copy the MOOC revolution, it built one of the first drafts before anyone had a name for it. Fast forward to now. NPTEL is the largest repository of engineering and science course content on Earth: - 56,000+ hours of lectures -3,200+ courses - a YouTube channel with 1.86B views and 5.6M subscribers ...built entirely by government-funded faculty, not a venture-backed edtech company. Not entertainment.... Thermodynamics. Signal processing. Soil mechanics. Quantum Mechanics. Built by profs people love to mock as "out of touch," "irrelevant," "stuck in an old system." A student in rural Bihar with a smartphone has, right now, the same lecture an IIT KGP student sat through, free, no JEE rank required. And yet ask most students outside the IIT system if they have done a single NPTEL certification, and you will mostly get silence. Employers still do not weight it the way they weight a foreign MOOC certificate with a fraction of the rigor. The exact students this was built for often do not know it exists. If a country builds the largest free reservoir of elite education on the planet, a decade ahead of everyone else, and barely drinks from it, is that the institution's failure / ours, for criticizing loudly and never once checking what is already free and sitting right there? Criticize the IITs all you want, no institution should be above scrutiny. But this particular story deserves the same volume as the criticism. It just never gets it.

The power of repetition in tech is crazy. 1. Write code once → you understand it. 2. Write it 20 times → you remember it. 3. Build 10 projects → you start seeing patterns. 4. Debug 100 errors → you stop panicking when something breaks. Repetition changes: • Syntax → muscle memory • Bugs → debugging skills • Projects → problem-solving • Docs → faster learning • DSA → pattern recognition • APIs → better system understanding • Deployments → confidence • Failures → better engineering decisions Build → Break → Debug → Fix → Repeat.

They want to revolt again. Against new education minister. Why? Just like that. Must have been programmed via Insta and Facebook reels. if you can really understand what's going on, you will see this is similar psyop to the one used to overrun Spain.
