This is the kind of sleazy politics that turns people off entirely. @fordnation caught behind closed doors saying he will,“open up the #greenbelt”, then publicly saying he will “unequivocally not touch the greenbelt”, to now just opening doing it.
It’s all around wrong. #onpoli – at Toronto, Ontario

Brad Bradford wants to hand over control of our water system to Doug Ford and open the door to privatization.
Toronto's drinking water isn't up for grabs, Brad. Hands off!

The Scarborough Busway is officially open — more than six months ahead of schedule. Over 100,000 riders every week will have a faster trip between Scarborough Centre and Kennedy.
And we’re not done yet. Yes, I’m going to build the Scarborough East LRT, and freeze TTC fares so Scarborough residents can thrive.

FINALLY!! Voters are waking up to Doug Ford and his wealthy donors investing in the USA while pretending to be Mr. Canada and divesting in our essential services

#NEW: Olivia Chow pushes back on Brad Bradford's call for an independent line-by-line review of Toronto's spending, saying the city already does one every year. #TOpoli
"What we won't do is hire a private consulting company that costs a lot of money to tell us things we already know."

More than a quarter of a million people pass through Union Station every day. It should make commuters feel safe, visitors feel welcome, and investors feel like they’ve arrived in a city that has its act together.
As Mayor, I’ll put a permanent, visible police presence inside Union Station and raise the standard for safety and cleanliness across our transit system.
Toronto can do better.
Real change means setting a higher standard. And delivering real results.

Toronto now has the density to support this kind of street transformation.
Cars currently take up an outsized share of our public space, despite not doing most of the heavy lifting when it comes to moving people around. That honour belongs to walking, cycling and transit.
I’d love to hear candidates in the mayoral and council races talk about how they will transform our streets to make Toronto quieter, safer and greener. After all, giving people attractive alternatives to driving is one of the most effective ways to reduce congestion. Paris, London and New York have already shown how to do this.

Dear humans around the world:
That thunderclap you just heard came from Gander, Newfoundland.
At 92 years old, Jean Chretien just gave the speech of his life.
With the most memorable, important words of his life.
Because he speaks for what most Canadians are feeling in our stomachs and hearts today, better than anyone else could.
God bless him. God bless Canada.

The Science Centre was closed so DeGasperis could have the land.
Ford announced the extension of the Ontario Line to the "science centre" right after DeGasperis closed on the adjacent parcel.
It was always a bait and switch.

Ontario's new subway cars: Maryland. Our highway maintenance: Texas. Our teachers' supplies: American-owned Staples. Doug Ford has been playing Captain Canada for 18 months – but every one of these deals still stands. Recall the legislature so we can cancel the U.S. contracts.

Our taxpayer dollars are being spent at an American company (in the middle of a trade war) that offers better deals to folks walking in off the street than to teachers ordering through the Ontario Ministry of Education portal. Make it make sense!!! #OntEd
Rosie O’Donnell just spent a week filling in for Jimmy Kimmel, and the results were TV magic.
Over four nights, O’Donnell, the 1990s talk show host whose two stints on “The View” both fizzled out, proved that she may yet have another act, and it may be on one of television’s grandest — diminished, but still grandest — stages.

Someone should tell @WSIB they aren’t a “business,” they’re an employer funded insurance system meant to support injured workers. An absolute disgrace that not only takes away good jobs, but will make it harder for injured workers to access the services they need.
