You’re right, but I also want to specify that I also would support cops just straight up shooting shoplifters

America has been at a net negative migration for exactly 1 year lmao, has nothing to do with the claim of “more Americans have been moving to Europe than the other way around for decades”
Also I don’t have to go anywhere, I literally live in Europe

You’re correct, but a large part of society is indeed functionally retarded and should not have credit cards
Replying to @Bcarvroom @BillTheKid1603
Ok, so your regular expenses + emergency totals to more money than you have so you end the month in debt
How exactly are you paying for it all with cash/debit if your expenses+the emergency cost more than money you have
Replying to @Bcarvroom @BillTheKid1603
If you have enough money to pay in cash then you don’t go in debt using a credit card
You use your credit card, pay it off at the end of the month so it accrues no interest and get some points towards credit card rewards/benefits
Replying to @HollowPoint_USA
It didn’t have it in 2007 either and UK salaries were equal or even slightly better than in the USA
Replying to @Bcarvroom @BillTheKid1603
So how exactly do you pay it without a credit card?
If you can pay for the emergency with a debit card then you can as well pay with credit and repay the balance at the end of the month with no interest
Replying to @Bcarvroom @BillTheKid1603
Case in point, this is a “being poor” issue, not a credit cards issue
Not owning a credit card does not in any way help when you have a medical emergency that you can’t afford
Replying to @BillTheKid1603
True, but people telling you credit cards are bad are pretty much like alcoholics telling you you shouldn’t accept a complimentary bottle of wine because the last time they had some wine they went on a 14 day bender and their wife left them

Just don’t be financially irresponsible
Replying to @BillTheKid1603
Every anti-CC argument I’ve heard is either:
* but what if you’re poor and can’t afford to pay an expense? (Being poor problem rather than a CC problem)
* but have you considered that I’m retarded and will definitely overspend if given the option? (Being retarded problem)
Replying to @liangshikai1990 @BillTheKid1603
How does not owning a credit card help in this scenario?
Replying to @sapphyreblayze
In your example you aren’t arguing against credit cards, you’re arguing against not having money (and no one is recommending not having money)
How exactly does it help to not use a credit card when that unexpected expense puts you in the red?
