Observe how picking the right symbols means no further explanation is necessary.

Tesla fans think they invented CANBUS. CANBUS is how every car manufactured after 1990 operates. There’s been little innovation there because it was rarely needed. Many cars have more than one CAN circuit to prevent your radio volume from interfering with brakes.
You know how cars have huge wiring harnesses? That's because each component needs its own set of wires, connected to the central ECUs, in order to function. Every speaker, every switch, every sensor, every actuator, every button. Tesla threw out that entire system for Cybertruck. Instead, they're running gigabit ethernet cabling with a 48v power + data CAN bus to every component— all on the same cable. Instead of running one wiring harness to the driver door speaker, and another to the driver's door window motor, they can daisy-chain them together on the same self-contained cable interface. Your computer could connect to your door handle using the *same* wire that's already been through your speaker, window, ambient lights, and steering wheel. Each of those devices/components listen to the continuous stream of data for a command relevant to its operation. By doing this,Tesla was able to reduce the total wiring in the Cybertruck by 77%, using 1/2 the copper. Don't sleep on Tesla.

What Tesla did differently is that they’ve replaced the traditional wiring with a powered ethernet link (both were done before individually but AFAIK not at once).

They also seem to have linked components in a serial manner which sounds… dangerous (think about your Christmas string lights not working because of a single lightbulb, now think about having speakers, breaks, and the steering wheel on the same cable).

Imagine solving the commerce problem of animating models without realizing the reason people want videos is to see how the clothes behave when moving. Hint: they do not fit the same as in posed photos because they are hopefully not made of concrete.

Imagine a tech conference having no CFP, as they reach out to speakers directly. They successfully attract some of the most heavy hitter men speakers in tech, and 3 women speakers. Now imagine my surprise that 2 of those women are FAKE profiles. They do not exist. Nada.

I have... so many questions. Is Eduards catfishing as an IG tech influencer with... 115K followers? The first account she follows is Eduards. The photos go back to late 2019... and the account might also follow the real woman in the photos?
Replying to @GergelyOrosz
The conference website is up and fake Anna removed. But fake Julia is still there. Listed every year as a speaker, never delivered a talk any year (and “dropped out” this year as well) @lizthegrey did some digging. A fake catfishing profile, it seems. linkedin.com/posts/efong_ger…

Things I did not realize as a Polish person: we are one of the only countries in the world where people religiously rotate between summer and winter car tires. Every six months a queue forms in front of service points. Fellow Poles, invest in all-season tires.

The more hot takes I read from the “e/acc” crowd, the more I am convinced they should rebrand to “a/ecc,” or “accelerated eccentrism.”
