The medical examiner who released Thomas Crooks's body for cremation w/ fragments still inside of it, and who drafted an incomplete toxicology report, has left his position.
A local media report describes Ariel Goldschmidt's departure as a "dismissal," but the reason he left is unclear.
See more details on the autopsy and toxicology below.
h/t to @SpaSuzy for flagging this.
Journalist Ken Silva (@JD_Cashless) fought for months to obtain Thomas Crooks’ autopsy & toxicology reports.
What he found raised questions the reports themselves couldn’t answer:

Who in the Trump administration is working on following the recommendations of the Public Interest Declassification Board to make available 9/11 records pursuant to the 25 year sunset of classification authority?

The 'Russiagate insanity' had a *legitimate* basis, which was Russian cyber penetration into Democratic policy-making circles (touching Obama, Lynch, Comey) which was relayed to US intelligence via 'the Dutch' (ie the 'T1 intelligence detailed in Durham classified Annex). The Rus penetration was such that the Obama Admin US intelligence community was playing 'defensively', with tangible consequences in both Midyear and Crossfire investigations (below). "Crossfire" was the FBI 'public-face' (or cover) for Brennan's 'Fusion Cell' operation launched before Crossfire, after Brennan briefing to Obama in 'late July' about the T1 intelligence 'late July' memorandum (Annex, p6). Brennan did not launch Fusion Cell "to hamstring Trump", but rather in direct response to the information revealed in the 'late July' T1 intelligence memorandum, which concerned an imminent release of Russian disinformation (Annex, p8-9,11-12, 'composite emails'). Brennan's unannounced trip to FSB in March, and his admonishment in early Aug, coincide timely with the March and 'late July' T1 intel memorandums, respectively (Annex, p4&6). Both the handling of Midyear and the opening of Crossfire were borne of the fact that Hillary, Comey, and Obama were all working together as a criminal enterprise. Recall that even Obama was communicating on private, pseudonymous email to Hillary's server, thus driving his motive to use "all administrative levers" (Annex, p4) to clear Midyear before HRC had even dreamed up or authorized 'Russiagate'. It was Russian penetration and knowledge of this that drove all subsequent actions for the Obama/Democratic admin and intelligence apparatus. In short, 'Russiagate' had a much deeper, legitimate basis, and Hillary was not, and cannot, be credited for the genesis of it.

Over the last decade, most of us experienced Hillary Clinton’s email server, the Trump-Russia collusion investigation, and Hunter Biden’s laptop as separate, unrelated controversies.
The FBI opened Midyear Exam, its investigation of Clinton’s private server, which held evidence of influence-peddling, in July 2015. One year later, then-Director James Comey closed it with a press conference, calling her “extremely careless” but recommending no charges; he did so without advising the Department of Justice, which was unusual and inappropriate.
Twenty-six days later, on July 31, 2016, the Bureau opened Crossfire Hurricane, a full counterintelligence investigation of the Trump campaign. Special Counsel John Durham concluded in 2023 that neither the FBI nor the intelligence community “appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation.”
Finally, in December 2019, an FBI field office took possession of Hunter Biden’s laptop hard drive, and in October 2020, Twitter and Facebook suppressed the New York Post story about it after FBI warnings of a Russian “hack and leak.”
The news media covered each episode as its own drama with its own unique cast of characters, and framed each incident in such a way so that the very idea that the FBI was abusing its powers lay outside of the Overton window. The media covered the email server as much ado about nothing, at best, and Clinton’s recklessness, at worst. The media framed the Russia story as a case of Trump’s conflicts of interest, at best, and Putin’s direct control of him, at worst. And the laptop story was, at best, about Republican persecution of an innocent man and, at worst, about Hunter Biden’s reckless behavior.
In every case, the media framed FBI officials as, at best, dogged investigators and, at worst, overzealous. Outside of openly pro-Trump right-wing media, few journalists covered the stories as the FBI abusing their powers for partisan reasons.
But it is now clear that a single thread ran through all three investigations, and it was one of partisan FBI agents and officials abusing their power in ways as extreme as J. Edgar Hoover did in the 1960s....

🚨I glossed over perhaps the most significant record the first time reading this new batch.
According to this record, Crooks was seen at a political event on July 11--2 days before Butler--with an "unknown male" who was talking about "commies."
🧵
The FBI has released more Thomas Crooks records in response to @JudicialWatch's FOIA lawsuit--revealing new details about Thomas' May 2024 hospitalization.
A neighbor told agents that Crooks left in an ambulance one night, and seems to have been gone for an entire 2 weeks🤔

As a rule, when something is being announced and the announcement itself is being teased in advance, the announcement becomes the substitute for action. That does not mean what was uncovered is not real. It is almost certainly real. It simply means that nothing is going to happen

Clearly Big Mike never asked Sir Alex about his involvement in the 2016/2017 plot against President Trump.
Within hours of being announced as the nominee to be the U.S. Director of the CIA, I received a hand-delivered message on MI6 stationery congratulating me on my nomination. It was signed simply "C" in green ink. Legendary. I shared it with my son and even he thought I was now cool!
More than that, this note, from Sir Alex Younger, Chief of the Secret Intelligence Service of the United Kingdom, confirmed what I already believed: the work that the CIA and MI6 did together mattered, that the partnership was critical, and that two leaders focused on the mission could save lives and provide tools for our nations to deter our adversaries.
Alex's passing this week brought back so many memories of our time in service together. He flew to Langley to see me the day I was confirmed. We brought our two senior teams together in the UK to plan and coordinate and build in the first several weeks of my time on duty: making clear to them all that this relationship was more than special - it was critical for the security of our two countries.
Alex was a remarkable intelligence partner. When we needed help, it wasn't "let me see;" it was "this matters to you and America we'll get it done." And he and his team always did. I think he knew we would do the same for him and his team and his nation. Many Americans are alive today because of his leadership of MI6, I never knew how to thank him enough.
Alex became a friend as well. In the years since we both left office we would see each other from time to time. He was always so kind, so thoughtful, so smart. His deep love of his country was surpassed only by his deep commitment and love of his family. Decent and proper - and funny as hell - Alex was "C." As espionage requires, he was quiet, not attention seeking. He knew what evil was and he was ruthless in his efforts to crush it with every legal tool at his command. And he knew who his friends were and committed himself to supporting them.
I miss Sir Alex Younger. He was a role model for me and a man with whom every minute I spent was valued and savored. Blessings to you Alex. Praying for you and for your family. Well done and may you rest in peace in His hands.

Dear @HunterBiden,
I have been in touch with your attorney Kevin Morris briefly a couple of years ago. One of his claims in the various lawsuits arising from the laptop saga is that Rudy Giuliani and Steve Bannon were making "mixtapes" of the material. Having seen versions of it that were distinct from one another, I can corroborate that to a limited extent. It at least does not seem absurd to me.
More to the point, I have been sued by the man who first "authenticated" the materials on the laptop, Yaacov Apelbaum, essentially covering the libel risk for the Murdoch publications that ran the materials first and most extensively. He has now come rather close to perjuring himself, first denying any association with the notorious Indian hacker Rajat Khare in discovery responses to me under oath. Then, just prior to trial, his legal team conceded there was indeed a licensing agreement between his company in Long Island and one in Singapore by the same name, in which Khare was an investor. Some of his uses of my writing, containing dishonest redactions, also come rather close to falsification of evidence. Mr. Khare is one of the most notorious practitioners of lawfare against journalists anywhere in the world, and his deeply criminal company Appin has hacked Native American tribes on Long Island, according to Reuters. I have several motions to vacate before the judge in the EDVA, which are likely to be ruled upon soon. They raise this question, and several others, like whether it can ever be defamatory to call an intelligence officer in the IDF an Israeli spy.
While I have not made any claim disputing the origin story we have been told about the laptop, because I am not as yet able to substantiate my suspicions, I have always found the story of the laptop repair store a little too caper-like. The hacker association, which is now a matter of public record, certainly raises some questions about the origin of those materials.
If there is anything you would like to add to this, now that you're on Twitter, I welcome your thoughts.
Thanks,
Arthur Bloom
Many such cases. Not a one off.
Najomtien police in Sattahip district, Chon Buri, expanded their investigation to search a house in Soi Huai Yai following a vehicle rollover, arresting 31-year-old Chinese national Ming Chen San.
Officers discovered war weapons, highly destructive explosives, 10 lethal and throwing grenades, bomb-making materials, and a large quantity of fuel hidden inside the property.
Although the suspect claimed the items were prepared for suicide due to depression, Assoc Prof Thitiwut Boonyawongwiwat, a transnational crime academic at Chiang Mai University, assessed that such behaviour was not the act of a lone wolf or a typical patient.
