105 people were killed in Gaza last month. 70 of them were militants. People are calling this an ongoing genocide. This is less than a bad month in Chicago. For example, in July 2021, 112 people were murdered in the city. Does it mean Chicago is an ongoing genocide?

Well done Nick 👏 This vile little antisemite has a very selective understanding of this conflict. He accuses Jews of dispossession of an indigenous population but ignores the history here. The British Mandate of Palestine was divided in 2: over 75% went to the Arabs in creation of Jordan with the remainder declared as a homeland for the Jews. Churchill was the man who, as colonial secretary, oversaw this. Jordan is ruled by Hashemites from Saudi Arabia. Is Kumar going to demand that King Abdullah hand over Jordan to the Palestinians as well?!! Is he going to demand that Lebanon release Palestinians from camps and give them citizenship, the right to vote, the right to buy property and equal access to job market?! The double standards are eye watering. Finally, he conveniently ignores what happened in the 1940s with the dispossession and expulsion of 800,000 Jews from Arab countries. For people like Kumar, this is not about Palestinians, it’s about Jews.

What kind of father does that?
Crashing waves. Chaos. A child struggling in the water, while his own father boards the boat rather than staying to protect him.
I believe scenes like this expose the failures surrounding these crossings, from the charities involved, to the actions of the French authorities, to the decisions being made by the British Government.
People are becoming increasingly angry about what they are seeing.
I genuinely fear that if confidence in the authorities continues to collapse, some people will eventually try to take matters into their own hands.
To be absolutely clear, I am not condoning, encouraging or supporting violence in any way, shape or form.

The monster on the left is illegal migrant Hadush Kebatu. He broke into our country on a small boat and after only 8 DAYS he sexually assaulted a 14yr-old girl and a woman.
He was sentenced to 12 months.
The man on the right is father of 2, Del Somerville. He threw a plastic bottle and swore at police.
He was sentenced to TWO YEARS.
Disgusting two-tier justice.

The naivety of our public institutions for engaging with people like this is staggering.
But not surprising.
We are failed time and again by liberals who believe other cultures are basically the same as ours, and the world is or wants to be just like us.
They're completely wrong.
And their assumptions, behaviour and arrogant refusal to accept that they ARE wrong is deadly - not just for public safety but our whole way of life.
Never in all the years of the Pro palastine protests did they come out and say anything like this about the far left with their faces covered. Not even after they trampled all over our war memorials or celebrated October the 7th.
You know why? The police, the Government, have sympathy with some protesters and not others.
They see us, the white working class as the enemy. This is Southport all over again, nothings changed and thats me saying it, ex job.

Of course it’s comparable when discussing the pressure to which JKR and Arday were subjected; and is being subjected in JKR‘s case.
You are correct it is not comparable in some regards as Arday didn’t receive numerous rape threats, for example.
It’s not comparable when identifying why pressure is being applied. Arday appears to be a conman, or a fantasist, who took someone more qualified‘d position based on his identity rather than merit.
JKR meanwhile gets death threats, attempts to cancel her, vile abuse and the aforesaid rape threats because she stands up for women’s rights.

#JasonArday was a hugely successful conman who eventually got found out. When he realized that his lucrative game was finally over, he tragically killed himself, thereby abandoning a wife & children. That's all. Everything else is just meaningless, dishonest noise & deflection.

1/2 Arday's death is a desperately sad ending, but this is an almost unbelievable post from an actual journalist. The evidence is clear that Arday was a fraud and a fantasist from start to finish. He, and Cambridge, deserved every criticism that was made of them. The reasons why someone with no qualifications for the job was appointed as a professor at an elite university, and the impact of that appointment on students, other academics and the university itself are exactly the sort of things that journalists should be investigating and putting on the front pages.

My ancestors were great people. Without them, the world would be an immeasurably darker, more wicked place.
Never again let entitled actors who known nothing about anything browbeat you into feeling shame for your ancestors.
Britain, and Western civilisation, are the greatest expressions of human flourishing in the history of the world.
Be proud of the ancestors who fought and toiled and sacrificed for that.
Don’t ever be ashamed of the greatness of our inheritance.
