INSPIRATION // Shocking human rights abuses in the fashion supply chain in Cambodia ⛔
Garment workers on poverty wages in #Cambodia have little option but to use overcrowded and unsafe transport to get to factories. Sobering news from @KhmerTimes of 50 deaths and 2000 injuries in traffic accidents in 2019. #LivingWagesNow #HumanRights

In a fashion system that operates on disposability, where we’re told that beautiful garments have trend-based expiration dates, keeping our clothes is a revolutionary act. 💪🏽💪🏿💪🏻💪🏾💪🏼

Calculating for Swedish clothing consumption, if each garment is used twice as many times before disposal, almost half the impact is mitigated. Prolonging the life of clothing requires brands to make and market more durable garments, and users to buy fewer of them.

I spent the last few days getting to know the materials Apple used in their MacBook keyboard. Because Apple doesn’t design these keyboards to be repaired, our analysis was destructive. A 2019 MacBook Pro died to bring you this information. /thread
