A vendor account with the password “123456” led to a leak of data from 8.8M people in Denmark’s national registry. While X is busy making jokes, we decided to reshare this supply chain security guide on preventing vendor-driven breaches: buff.ly/ZXwNQcq

This review raised our overall rating on @sourceforge: 4.7 → 4.8! "Passwork works very well for our organization because we can host it on-premises and integrate it with SSO. This allows us to align the platform with our own security architecture and access policies." buff.ly/VjSMsi8 #passwordmanagement #passwordsecurity

August’s cybersecurity incidents show attackers going around the login itself. What if passwords are no longer the only target? Then access management has to expand with the threat landscape. New school year means new logins for your kids: school platforms, email, games. Most parents only think about password security after something goes wrong: a hijacked Roblox account, a fake message pretending to be from school... Start before that happens. Bitwarden and Passwork are both zero-knowledge solutions, but they chose different vault encryption architectures. Here's how our approach differs from a popular password manager, and how that difference plays out in practice.

This difference determines how much data one compromised key can reach, and how recovery works. Bitwarden's single admin RSA key pair can restore access for any member, but that same key becomes a single point of failure for the whole organization. Passwork's recovery restores only vaults already shared with another account, keeping exposure contained even during account recovery.

Corporate credentials shouldn't depend on a single vault owner. That's the idea behind Vault Policies in Passwork. Instead of relying on individual owners, organizations define governance that survives role changes, offboarding, and day-to-day administration. In our blog post, we explain how Vault Policies in Passwork help achieve that: passwork.pro/blog/passworks-… #cybersecurity #passwordmanager

Field engineers, sales teams on the road, admins working through a spotty VPN — sooner or later, every distributed team hits a moment where the server just isn't reachable. Before 7.7, that meant no access to passwords at all. Passwork 7.7 fixes that with secure offline mode for desktop and mobile: — Records cached only with explicit user action — View-only access, no edits — Admins control who gets offline access and what gets cached — Auto-wipe if a device misses the sync window — Every offline action logged the moment the device reconnects Built for teams that can't afford downtime. That's the question behind our July 2026 cybernews recap: 23 events that matter for anyone responsible for security in their organization. Read the full recap: passwork.pro/blog/cybersecur…
