Shrinkflation is a disease that is standard with consumer goods. When it creeps into restaurants you just know it’s not a good sign. Cutting down dishes, & charging more, is an ominous sign that all is not right. If restaurants think we won’t notice then they’re sadly mistaken.

The new Hicks in Dalkey have upped their game, particularly on the sausage front 👏

China Tang is the new high-end Chinese restaurant in Monkstown. First impressions are that the food is a match for the expensive fit-out, but some service issues need to be fixed. Overall, a great addition to the area. Full review instagram.com/p/DGolKjPMMcx/…

Why are we so behind the curve here in Ireland. 1) Went into @bankofireland for coins. Can't use my phone to pay. They wanted my card! 2) Why can't I get cash at an ATM without a card? 3) Left my bus pass behind. Can't use my phone to tap instead. 4) No contactless on DART etc.

There’s a lot of prep and cooking in a cassoulet but the results are worth it. Fabulous winter dish.
