OpenClaw - Money Saver (Part 1) I tried using OpenClaw with xAIs 'grok-4-1-fast-non-reasoning' and was immediately stunned by how cheap it is. ($0.20 per 1M input - but most is cached) I can barely reach $1 per day in token cost. Unfortunately it was also messing up. A lot. It was fun, but basically unusable. Solution: I switched to the reasoning version, which has the same token cost but can a) be slower and b) incur more cost due to reasoning doing more in the background. So far, however, I have been positively surprised. My agent is now working a lot more diligent. And neither cost nor speed have changed. This is A LOT more fun - give it a try!

More agentic updates. After a week of trial-and-error my OpenClaw bot still doesn't manage to send me a simple morning brief via Telegram. When I request to run the skill, it usually isn't able to pull price data for SOL, Gold, Silver etc. Today it managed to get price data for the first time. What's wrong with this picture? I remain unimpressed.

The blue bot wants the valuable gold resource 🤑 I did nothing ... because ... uh ... distracted 😅
