Day 4 - 🐣🚲 Marketplaces live or die by the “chicken-and-egg” problem.
Today I’m sharing exactly how I’m cracking it for Bikeana—a new hub for finding quality used bikes locally.👇

ALT Infographic titled “Bikeana: Cracking the Chicken-and-Egg.” Three columns: 1) Seed Supply—free 90-day listings, photo kit, QR tags, low fee. 2) Spark Demand—build-in-public posts, local ads, buyer waitlist. 3) Build Trust—escrow & 24-hour inspection, simple condition tiers, verified shop profiles.
Insightful, and what I've heard from the big players like @garyvee . I was wondering how many organic conversions can be considered enough of a signal to start thinking about ads/boosts...
Spark Demand:
• Daily build-in-public updates (like this one)
• Hyper-local ads ($5/day)
• Buyer waitlist for “first dibs” on fresh listings 🚀
Build Trust: Funds sit in escrow while buyers get a 24-hour test-ride window. Shops are verified, bikes have simple condition tiers.

I just randomly met a person at a Starbucks, who is working in his startup, building with Go and NextJS.
I could not resist talking about @htmx_org .
Am I part of a cult? 🤣
I really appreciate the work you are doing !
Just got a badge from @EclipseFdn for my talk at Open Community for Java in Germany!
