Putin murdered a mother and her five-year-old daughter as they were walking home from a day at the park. Her other daughter witnessed the horror unfold. As @kilmeade said, Putin is a modern-day Hitler - imperialist, expansionist, and genocidal.
A Ukrainian soldier went to war because he wanted a future for his daughters in Ukraine. He was deployed to Donetsk region when a Russian glide bomb found his family at home in Sumy, as they walked back from the park. nytimes.com/2026/10/13/world…

Does it get darker than this? Your own children is first taken, then turned, and comes back to attack you? russia is so proud of this. Patting themselves on the back - ”we can even make their own children fight them”. ultimate move of dominance in a culture where only dominance is valued.
"Russia’s turning abducted Ukrainian children into Russian soldiers." Reporter @KathrynDiss traveled to Ukraine for ABC’s Foreign Correspondent to expose this devastating reality. After years of indoctrination and militarization, kidnapped kids are being forced to sign contracts and fight against their own country. Save Ukraine helped the journalist embed with our rescue missions and speak with youth who have just escaped occupation. Thank you, Kathryn Diss, for bringing the global mission to bring Ukraine’s kids home to a wider audience. 📺 Watch the full report Tuesday, September 29, at on @abcnews and ABC iView. And you can also see it on YouTube.

Giving away territories to Russia in exchange for peace is not an option: Ukrainians under Russian occupation are starved, hunted with drones, executed, and left with their dead unburied. In Russian-occupied Oleshky, the reality is worse than Bucha. kyivpost.com/opinion/84635

Russia is now striking border crossings, which it didn’t do systematically before. Why? Because we in the EU do not react. And did not react on the previous “tests”. Russia will allow itself more, and more, and more. “What happens if we invade Georgia? What happens if we annex Crimea? What happens if use radioactive poisons on EU territory? What happens if we bomb Kyiv? What happens if we burn EU military plants? What happens if our drone gets to EU air space? What happens if we bomb a border crossing on Ukrainian side?” I think, you can guess the next step in this logic.

“The return of Ukrainian children abducted by the Russian Federation must be a priority… This is one of the most painful consequences of this war.” “We are not fighting for kilometers… We are fighting for our people... ....Our children are the future" - Olena Zelenska 🇺🇦 Ukrainians are strong nation, Russians won't defeate them🫂

In Kyiv, a new opera is tackling one of the most traumatising aspects of Russia’s invasion: the abduction of Ukrainian children. In the new work called “Mothers of Kherson”, music tries to give voice to that unspeakable pain, here’s my report:

Now we truly have a global Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children – from Canada and Latin America, from the United States and Argentina, to Europe and Japan. Today, Switzerland and Cyprus are joining our coalition. We now have almost 50 countries standing together in this coalition – and I am grateful for that. Almost every month, we see results. Children come home. But many more still need to come home. We must clearly document where the children are, track the full chain of abduction and the cover-up of this crime, bring the children back, and help them find themselves again and return to normal life. None of this is easy. But it is good that our Bring Kids Back UA initiative is working. It is good that you are active – at the level of the European Commission, European institutions, international organizations, and the leadership of every country. And I am especially grateful to the First Ladies who help to secure the release of these children. All of this must continue. From an address to the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children (2/3).
