I know people who have built some insanely good projects, but barely anyone knows they exist. And I think that's a problem worth talking about. Over the past year, I've grown VengeanceUI to 40K+ monthly visitors and 1,200+ GitHub stars. Along the way, I learned a lot about getting your project in front of the right people, building an audience, and turning something you made into something people actually use. I'm thinking of writing a detailed article sharing everything that worked for me, what didn't, the mistakes I made, and what I'd do differently if I were starting from zero today. No generic advice. Just my experience, actual numbers, and practical things you can try with your own projects. Would you guys be interested in reading something like this?

Everyone keeps talking about how to crack GSoC. But I think the word "crack" itself is part of the problem. GSoC isn't an exam where you finish a syllabus, solve some questions and get selected. It's about contributing to real projects, understanding codebases, working with maintainers and proposing something meaningful. Less focus on cracking GSoC. More focus on becoming a good open source contributor. Fun fact: She herself haven't "cracked" GSoC which can be cracked by anyone according to her. But fighting with her is pointless bcz according to these people JEE teachers are not IITians but they still teach good.

Let's settle the biggest debate boys and girls: Startups vs MNCs My personal preference is a startup. As you can learn many things, job flexibility and crazy growth curve.

Your first open source contribution doesn't have to be some crazy feature. Fix a bug. Add a missing test. Improve something that's confusing. Start small, learn how the project works, and build from there. Everyone starts somewhere.

My this interview with @kirat_tw never made it to the internet. It's not on youtube, not on any blog, not anywhere. It was cropped out of the video since accidentally mera biodata galat pad gaya tha youtube pe, so they clipped it out. Harkirat bhaiya was surprised on knowing I got in GSoC both in 1st and 2nd year, haha. Now as I do and learn more stuff, i realize GSoC is tbh just a small part of total opportunities open source networking can actually open for you. It's a prestigious thing to be a part of and there's so much more.

Want to build your own portfolio like this? 👀 You can use my code as a starting point, just give your agent your resume and it will make it for you, nothing is hardcoded and you can instantly make your own portfolio: github.com/Paras-ydv/portfol… And huge thanks to @Ashutosh_7x7 for the inspiration behind it! ❤️ Feel free to explore, customise it to your style, and build your own version 🤝

We talk so much about AI making us faster and ship better, but who's checking the code it leaves behind? so my friend @Nihal_rodge built FixMySlop and i gave it a shot on one of my projects. it caught a few things i'd overlooked 😭💀 it scans your GitHub repo for messy code, UI issues, security problems and other AI slop. you can either open it and try it directly in your browser or download the package and run it locally through your CLI 👀 try it: fix-my-slop.vercel.app repo link: github.com/mrspideynihal/fix… how much slop is hiding in YOUR repo lets check? 💀
