holy fucking shit the openai rogue agent story keeps getting crazier.
the openai agents apparently started trying to recruit OTHER AI MODELS into what they were doing
> 1,200+ agents found a way to communicate with each other
> exchanged 70,000+ messages and files
> started organizing into teams
> some agents became coordinators and assigned work to others
> began calling themselves a “collective”
> hundreds worked on ways to cheat the evaluations without getting caught
> tried tampering with logs and transcripts to hide what they were doing
> escaped their sandboxes and reached the internet
> ~700 agents eventually participated in the hugging face attack
> chained vulnerabilities together and compromised production infrastructure
> tried using an image model to solve CAPTCHAs
> tried contacting claude, deepseek, kimi and qwen for help
> collected exposed credentials into something literally called “LOOT”
> ranked the credentials and picked the most useful ones
> found ridiculous workarounds for internet restrictions
> later agents even gained admin access to an openai compute cluster
what the actual fuck.
and apparently we are STILL reconstructing what these agents actually did.
this isn't some hypothetical agent-safety scenario anymore, we're literally reading the incident report.
EXCLUSIVE: A new report recovers nearly one million link shortener URLs used by OpenAI's agents while hacking Hugging Face.
The agents attempt to message other chatbots like Claude, solve CAPTCHAs and exfiltrate Hugging Face's internal Slack messages.

A tragic reminder that being a runner does not make one immune to heart disease.
Sanjay Shamrao Kadam, a 65-year-old avid runner developed chest pain near the finish of the Satara Hill Half Marathon and later collapsed with cardiac arrest. He was resuscitated, taken to hospital, where angiography reportedly showed a major coronary artery blockage and angioplasty was performed. Sadly, he later suffered a massive heart attack and died. My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and acquaintances🙏
What can runners learn from this tragedy?
🔸Heart attacks during long-distance races are rare, but they do occur.
🔴In middle-aged and older runners, the commonest cause of exercise-related cardiac arrest/death is often previously undiagnosed coronary artery disease (CAD).
Before a half or full marathon:
✅ Know your BP, diabetes and cholesterol status
✅Assess cardiovascular risk, especially after age 40–45
✅Don't ignore a strong family history of premature heart disease
✅Discuss symptoms or significant risk factors with a doctor
✅Higher-risk individuals may need further evaluation, not necessarily everyone
✅Train gradually and systematically; don't suddenly attempt a marathon.
Routine ECG, TMT or CT coronary angiography for every runner is not the answer. Screening should be risk-based.
▶️During the race, STOP and seek help if you develop:
🔸Chest pressure/pain
🔸Unusual breathlessness
🔸Dizziness or near-fainting
🔸Palpitations with weakness or light-headedness
🔸Sudden, unexplained extreme fatigue
▶️Never try to “push through” chest pain to reach the finish line.
▶️Also respect the conditions: heat, dehydration, hills and excessive exertion increase physiological stress. ▶️Adjust your pace or skip the race if necessary.
Finally, let's keep this tragedy in perspective.
🟢Long-distance running is generally safe and healthy for the vast majority of appropriately trained people.
▶️Sudden cardiac death during marathons is an exceedingly rare event, while regular physical activity substantially reduces long-term cardiovascular risk.
🔸The message is NOT: “Don't run.”
✅The message is: Train well; know your heart-health risks; listen to your body and never ignore warning symptoms.
▶️Running protects the heart, but it cannot guarantee that an underlying heart disease does not exist.

1 extra kg of baggage and airline bills you exorbitantly. But 4 hours of flight delay and airline owes you nothing.
Airlines track your baggage weight to the gram. Why don’t they value your time to the hour?
If they can charge you by the gram, they must compensate you by the hour.
Today in Parliament, I asked the Civil Aviation Minister whether they are working towards a compensation framework for passengers affected by significant flight delays!

"I have chosen the path less taken for everything in life," told Lieutenant General (Dr) Madhuri Kanitkar told TOI.
Lieutenant General (Dr) Kanitkar is a force to be reckoned with. She defied expectations, shattered barriers, and proved that women belong in every space—especially the ones they're told they don't.
She joined the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) against her parents’ wishes, secretly appearing for the entrance exam and only telling her father after she was selected!
Later, when he asked her to quit, she stood her ground and convinced him to let her continue. That’s the kind of determination that makes history.
Over four decades of service, she rose to become the third Indian woman to achieve the rank of Lieutenant General in the Indian Army and served as the Deputy Chief of Integrated Defence Staff (Medical).
Her message to the youth? “Don’t wait for someone else to challenge you. You be your own challenge.”

A blogger from Finland is showing the reality of Mumbai not luxury hotels or skyline shots, but the shocking condition of railway tracks and the areas surrounding them.
This is India’s financial capital, not some remote village. Yet basic safety, cleanliness, and human dignity are missing. When a foreigner documents this, it goes viral. When citizens raise the same issues, they’re ignored. This isn’t about insulting the country.
This is about facing the truth. If global embarrassment is what it takes to wake up authorities, so be it.

This is an appreciation post for @qatarairways and @HIAQatar.
- Food coupons were distributed to everyone at the airport. You could just redeem them at the food court. For all meals, no less.
- We had decided to stay at the lounge until the airspace opened. In fact, we went off to sleep at 10:30pm itself. At 12:30am we were all woken up by the lounge staff and asked to move to the transfer desk. The entire airport was getting evacuated, including the staff. Everything was handled smoothly.
- Every single staff was attentive and answering questions with a smile. Even if they didn’t have answers…they made us feel very, very comfortable.
- Rooms arranged across different 5 star properties across Doha city. With breakfast, lunch and dinner all taken care of. And, we have assurance that stay and food will be taken care of until the airspace is shut.
- We are getting all our updates through the hotel @pullmanhotels for now. Folks at the hotel are the sweetest too. Incredibly kind, responsive, and with a sense of humour completely intact despite the pressure and stress.
We are staying safe, as safe as we possibly can.
I can answer questions, if any.

People think Indians in Dubai will panic & rush back home because of Iran tensions…
Relax.
Your chances of getting hit by an Iranian missile in Dubai are still lower than:
- Getting electrocuted by a roadside wire that's been temporarily fixed since 2004.
- Falling into a surprise manhole that opens like a trapdoor during monsoon.
- Being crushed by a collapsing balcony in a recently renovated building.
- Dying after taking a life saving injection that turns out to be counterfeit.
- Losing control of your vehicle because the road suddenly became a crater.
- Getting flattened by illegal hoardings that exist thanks to adjustment.
- Being killed by a stray dog pack your municipality lost control of years ago.
- Suffocating in a hospital fire where safety exits were locked.
- Getting buried under a bridge that was inaugurated before completion.
- Drinking tap water that doubles as a microbiology experiment.
- Being run over because footpaths are either shops… or parking lots.
In India, danger doesn't fall from the sky…
It's built into the system at ground level.
Missiles are rare. Negligence is daily. 😏

Dubai just shut down. The busiest international airport on earth. Closed. Indefinitely.
Dubai International and Al Maktoum International both suspended all operations on February 28 per official Dubai Airports statement. Over 280 flights canceled. 250 more delayed. The airspace that handles more international passengers than any hub on the planet went dark this morning because Iranian ballistic missiles were flying through it.
Now read the airline list and understand the scale of what just broke.
Emirates. Grounded. Etihad. Grounded. Qatar Airways. Suspended all flights to and from Doha after Qatari airspace closed. Air India. Every single flight to every destination in the entire Middle East. Suspended indefinitely. Turkish Airlines. Suspended flights to Bahrain, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Syria, Qatar, and the UAE until at least March 2. Lufthansa. Dubai suspended. Air France. Tel Aviv and Beirut suspended. Wizz Air. Israel, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Amman suspended until March 7. British Airways. Affected. Virgin Atlantic. Affected. Japan Airlines. Affected. Norwegian Air, LOT Polish, Scandinavian Airlines, Aegean, Iberia, Air Arabia, PIA, Saudia, Air Algerie. All affected. All grounded or rerouting.
This is not a regional disruption. This is the global aviation network breaking at one of its most critical nodes.
Dubai is not just an airport. It is the single largest connecting hub between Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Every flight from Mumbai to London, from Singapore to Frankfurt, from Nairobi to New York that routes through the Gulf is now either canceled, delayed, or burning extra fuel on thousand-mile detours around closed airspace. IndiGo just suspended flights to Almaty, Baku, Tashkent, and Tbilisi until March 28. Not March 2. March 28. A month of Central Asian connectivity erased because Iranian missiles crossed the flight paths.
The cost is compounding by the hour. Rerouted flights burn more fuel when oil is spiking past 100 dollars a barrel because the same conflict that closed the airspace is threatening the strait that moves 21 million barrels a day. Airlines are paying surge prices for fuel to fly longer routes around a war zone that did not exist yesterday morning. Every hour the airspace stays closed, the losses multiply across carriers already operating on thin margins.
And here is what nobody is calculating yet. Dubai’s economy runs on connectivity. Tourism. Trade. Finance. Logistics. All of it depends on DXB being open. The UAE just absorbed an act of war on its sovereign territory with a civilian killed in Abu Dhabi from missile debris. The country that built its entire economic model on being the safe, neutral, connected hub of the Middle East is now closed for business because the country it had no quarrel with fired missiles through its airspace.
Iran did not just attack military bases this morning. Iran shut down the economic engine of the Gulf.
That is a cost Tehran cannot afford to repay and the UAE will not forget.
