so the stack this time was pretty simple:
· WebGL + GLSL shaders for the skins
· @Paper for the tile layouts. They’re parsed on the html canvas and imported from there, and portraits can be sent back to it too vía MCP. Most of the skins also come from the Paper Shaders lib <3 thanks to @uuuuuulala brilliant engineering
· Good old FFmpeg, with basically every encoding decision left to Claude Opus 5.5
· Web Audio API: you can spot some sound design tied to the same semantics. Very WIP, tbh, and something that can keep evolving as new episodes come out

you can get much better landing pages out of AI agents if you stop asking them to design and code everything in one go
instead, use @paper to explore the design first
go section by section:
- make a bunch of different hero sections
- try different layouts for the product demo
- explore how the features could be shown
- put the variations next to each other on the canvas
that's what makes Paper useful. you can actually see the different directions instead of trying to imagine them from a conversation
pick the parts you like and keep iterating. maybe the headline from one hero works better with the layout from another
once you have a general direction, bring those sections together into a page
then have the agent turn that into actual code
that's when i'd add animations, but they should help explain the product. show an action, show what changed, make the interaction feel good
not an annoyingly slow animation you have to sit through just to read the page
try gradients or dithers where they fit too (i have two really cool projects coming for this 👀)

So many incredible details on the @paper mono page... feels more like a fully-featured type creation tool vs. a typeface marketing site... well done team.

the @paper canvas is now inside @capydotai's cloud coding agent‼️
two interesting things about this:
1. while we work on remote MCP, this integration is a great way to work in Paper without needing the desktop app open (or from your phone 👀)
Introducing the Capy @paper integration
The easiest way to design with cloud coding agents
Paper runs in Capy's VMs, so your agents and teammates can design together from any device

Paper shipped the most impactful feature in the history of design tools (I would never exaggerate)
you can now change opacity while using color tokens
damn, my graphic design dream didn’t just come to life, it’s evolving!
please look at these pieces of art Oliver just brought to us 🔥 pink is the new orange, babe
designed with @paper of course :)
btw the @paper file is also free and open source
did you get it? 🤩
official prints coming soon

small improvements and additions to @paper MCP lately:
• `list_files` becomes `list_resources` and includes folders
• added `rename_resources` to rename files and folders
• added `rename_pages` to rename pages in a file

caught up with Hugo who gave me a tour of paper
feels like it just unlocked a creative part of me
❶ the mcp server is really powerful. using opencode to drive the canvas fits my mental model for working with agents much more than using a built-in agent (like figma)
❷ using opencode as my agent gives me infinitely more options for pulling in context and information from different sources
❸ the snapshot tool combined with paper’s html/css canvas model makes pulling in existing designs and editing them super easy. i can see this being especially useful when you need to design something that already exists in the browser, but there’s no design file for it. maybe it was built agentically, and now you need to give detailed design feedback. instead of writing detailed prompts, you can snapshot the actual implementation, edit it directly in paper, then use the mcp with opencode to reimplement those changes.
