COVID was once very worrying. It isn’t now. Look at the data and #getagrip #antilockdown

Florida has been open for the whole past year and has fared just as well, if not better, than most other US states and European countries. Can we talk about this please?

▪️60 UK Covid deaths in the past 7 days (deaths for any reason within 28 days of a positive test). ▪️6,300 UK cancer and heart/circulation deaths in the past 7 days (on average). But only one of these statistics is reported by the media.

Post vaccine roll out:- Those who want to “stay safe” should stay safe. Those who want to live life to the full, should live life to the full.

Since Alabama’s completely maskless non-social distanced victory celebration back on January 11th, the number of confirmed new cases in Alabama have dropped 75 percent.

Amazing work by @MLevitt_NP2013 His age-adjusted excess death should become the standard for comparing countries and policies. These graphs reinforce and visualise the conclusion of many papers that there is no correlation between lockdown and lower mortality.
1/7 Excess death (E) in any period is the difference between the actual all-cause deaths and those that are expected. Expected deaths in the current year, c, can be calculated in many ways. Easiest is to use the data from a few recent years as a reference (we use, 2017 to 2019).

Every country bar Sweden panicked themselves into a Novel Expensive Great LockDown Experiment, based on no more than a very dodgy computer model with no track record of success. Sweden chose to stay with tried and tested methods. The results are in. Who made the right choice?

It breaks my heart seeing these images. What is happening in our schools is an abomination. Shame on anyone who is colluding in this monstrous farce.

Genuinely getting tired of people saying “Happy Friday, we’ve done another week of lockdown!” Time - the most precious thing we have - is just casually being tossed out of the window.

My uncle is 94. He had covid and fully recovered in December while I was caring for him. Today he fell and hurt himself. The gave him 3 covid tests. 2 negative, 1 positive and they continue to insist that he has covid for a second time. The covid thing is utter buffoonery.

You brave, brilliant people. Sheffield secondary school will reopen on January 6 after classing all pupils as vulnerable. "headteacher Dean Webster said that...all its pupils are ‘vulnerable’ and would suffer if they were educated remotely any longer" thestar.co.uk/education/shef…

Listen to this independent thinker. That rare thing, a Tory MP who questions the Cabinet's insistence on only listening to one side of the scientific argument. Sir Desmond Swayne, one of the politicians of the year.
The Government needs an alternative source of expertise to help ministers identify and put the right questions to SAGE to ascertain whether they are on the money or a hundred miles from it.

There are 10m schoolchildren in the UK.and 99.9999% are healthy, but the government wants to employ 3000 soldiers to test them to see if they are ill. If this is not insanely bonkers I don’t know what is.

Every year in the UK, roughly 100,000 people die ‘for any reason’ within 28 days of a haircut. See? Easy isn’t it?
