We live in a suburban town in Ireland. Five years ago we decided to put a pond in our garden. I always wanted a pond when I was little so it was a big deal to me. For a while not much was happening with the pond I mean it looked like this👇

Sigh. Obviously feeding children is priority. But these school meals are a joke. 🤯
Disposable packaging,🐔 from China/Thai/Brazil, Dutch 🧀, beef with added glucose 🤔, "sausages" (57% pork 😖), lunches laced in MSG/sugar, palm oil, minimal veggies.🤦🏻♀️

I sat down with my accounting team ( i don't have a team it just sounds good!) last week to review the last few weeks/months figures and we are not getting the ‘gross margin’ we require. The rise of all costs, especially food, has been enormous in the last few months; 🧵

Hi folks. We have now begun this year’s national TT adjudication period. The judge could be evaluating our community tomorrow morning or any day in the next 6 weeks. Please don’t litter, pickup after your dog and if you can, follow Goethe’s guidance.

Q: Is reduced mowing of grass a good action for pollinators-biodiversity for our business to take?
A: Yes, excellent. Go with the ‘Flow Chart’ to turn an area of regularly mown grass into a meadow or mini-meadow.🐝REVIEW Meadow Guide: bit.ly/3ovEqsn @BioDataCentre

This is how the IFA/IFJ routinely tries to bully public officials. Fair play to @pippa_hackett for not being intimidated by this hit-job
Really disappointing to see this from @farmersjournal. Anonymous byline suggesting I should be banned from Twitter.
We are in a #BiodiversityCrisis and I will continue to lead on how we should respond. Even at the weekends.

This is what leadership
looks like - a group who's core interest is cutting/laying hedges reminding people (firmly) to not cut hedges at this time of year.
Fair play
It is the nesting season, do not cut your hedges, Irish wildbird populations are crashing, humans are responsible, do not cut your hedges. @IFAmedia @farming_indo @farmersjournal @EcoEye @farmfornature @agriculture_ie

This alone should make you fall madly deeply in #love with #dandelions.
A solitary #bee head down arse in the breeze getting life sustaining food from a beautiful #flower most consider a worthless nuisance.
Dandelions are #vital.

#Bee Twitter - I put up a thread last Sunday about queen #bumblebees this time of year and how to help - thanks to you it got 800k+ impressions meaning tens of thousands of people are better ‘bee informed’.
Can we do it again?

Could this be the queen of the #PlantsToCelebrate?! The Dandelion! Hugely important source of food at this time of yr, when pollinators emerge (e.g. queen bumblebees) + little else is in flower. Name comes frm 'dent de lion' - due to lion's teeth shape of leaves. All parts edible
