The stable name plaques are coming along.
Woodworking now complete so painting prep next.
Had some leftover pine from an earlier project and thought it would be fun to make these for Astronaut and his mates.
Astronaut is in the prime of his life.
So satisfying to see how all the hard work I’ve put into his retraining and recovery over the years has paid off. Wasn’t easy. Big learning curve. Lots of people told me I was mad. We won.💪

Sanoma Blakeley, an Oregon teenager, and her horse Goober, whom she found for free on Craigslist, won the prestigious Tevis Cup, a 100-mile endurance horse race across the Sierra Nevada mountains.
Sanoma became the youngest female to ever win the race at 18 years old.
Sanoma had been riding horses since she was a child and competing in endurance races since the age of seven.
She found Goober, a dark Arabian horse, on Craigslist when he was two years old. Goober had a lot of personality and some behavioral issues, but Sanoma and her family took him in, cared for him, and trained him.
In 2019, after several attempts, Sanoma and Goober won the Tevis Cup, beating out riders and horses from around the world. Sanoma has since written a book about her journey, titled:
"Chasing Dreams" 🐴
After a week off, Astronaut was firing on all cylinders under Luke. I think he missed working and couldn’t wait to get going after we saddled him up.
Competing at Novice level, but he can do most of the Elementary transitions. Next BD comp is end of Oct.

Hanging out w the boys and discussing the difference between Novice and Elementary dressage.
Astronaut works so hard to please Luke. Such a joy to see how far they have come. Luke says Astronaut enjoys it when he sings in the saddle! 😂

Caught up w the boys in their new set-up near Newmarket.
Astronaut has settled in faster than the others which I suspect in down to his extensive travel experience! He and Streaky (his TB buddy) have side by side paddocks too.
I might start riding again.

Losing Yayoi and Dolly in the same week.....what a loss to this world.
Truely two multitalented artists....

Beautiful work w Astronaut and Luke today.
They are relocating closer to Newmarket so I’ll be over next week to help them settle in.
Didn’t put a foot wrong.
British Dressage Area Festival was a step up to Novice, but the boys held their own.
Astronaut under Luke is developing into a classic dressage horse.
