Almost daily, this settler from a nearby pastoral outpost is invading our village of Madama, harassing farmers & calling on Israeli occupation forces to prevent them from harvesting olives. He seized olives & harvesting tools belonging to the local Wajdi Zeyadeh & his brothers.
Three years of genocide of Palestinians. 78 years of Nakba. Selling stolen Palestinian homes at Toronto synagogues.
Three years of Israel killing journalists, healthcare & UN staff, but the headline is “three years of threats on Jews living in Canada”?
#APR in Canadian media.
Oct. 7 anniversary marks three years of threats on Jews living in Canada ctvnews.ca/world/israel-hama…
How about three years since the ongoing genocide of Palestinians that you continue to support? How about 78 years of ongoing Nakba?
Statement by Prime Minister Carney marking three years since Hamas’ terror attacks against Israel: pm.gc.ca/en/news/statements/…
Marks three years of shame and disgrace of Canadian media. Complicity in genocide, and the murder of Palestinian and Lebanese journalists.
This quoted post is unavailable.
Three years into Israel’s ongoing genocide of Palestinians in Gaza, CP24 dedicates a whole reporter for a “story” made to victimize the world’s greatest oppressors.
I can’t help but wonder who burned these flags.
How about covering health collapse, housing crisis… etc.?

“Truth and reconciliation gets thrown out the window at the point at which Indigenous Peoples criticize Israeli occupation, apartheid, and genocide in Palestine.”
As the Palestine exception returns to the zeitgeist, here's something new from me about it, which I originally offered as testimony for the Palestine Tribunal on Canadian Responsibility held in Ottawa last November. Now published with @penandmachete.

For the first time, Public Safety Canada has stated explicitly that its definition of antisemitism includes opposing Zionism. As the Ministry that oversees enforcement agencies like the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), this conflation is very alarming.
As acts of right-wing extremism rise, including the recent abhorrent attempted shooting of an Ontario synagogue full of congregants on Yom Kippur, the Canadian government must ensure the safety of all Canadians to practice their faith in peace and participate freely in society without fear. Incitement, threats and violence can never be accepted.
However, these incidents cannot be used as an excuse to repress legitimate political expression. Palestinian Canadians have the right to to participate fully in Canadian society, including civil and political discourse on issues that directly affect their families. They must be able to honour their relationship to their ancestral homeland and to name the political ideology that perpetuates their displacement and erasure, and they must be able to do so without fear of criminalization or discrimination. These are fundamental rights enshrined in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
We are steadfast in our legal efforts to protect the rights of both Palestinian Canadians and those who stand with them in solidarity, and are exploring our options for responding to this dangerous conflation accordingly.
Nothing like seeing people wearing orange “Every Child Matters” shirts while sitting at the same Aroma Espresso Bar that supports the murder of Indigenous children in Palestine, also supported by Canada.
Last week, two Muslim classmates were drinking Zionist Aroma. I explained to them its complicity in the ongoing genocide of Palestinians and the need to boycott it.
Today, one of them, who wears a hijab, was proudly drinking her Aroma cup in-front of me. I feel so disappointed.

Hey Ben, how many children did your beloved Israel murder today?
“The best journalists are activists.”
This contrasts what I’m taught in journalism school, that I cannot be a journalist & activist.
This video resonates w me deeply & it sucks that speaking truth comes at high costs. We appreciate you! @atRachelGilmore

I forced myself to watch his clip today that everyone is raving about because I cannot stomach his hypocrisy and performativity... watching our cause being exploited for political gain.

OP captures well why so many Palestinian activists & scholars such as myself have loudly opposed Mamdani's rise from the start. He does the talk but not the walk. He manages collective anger & placates the masses like every other skilled liberal politician.
I don’t glaze Mamdani for his speech because Israels actions are so appalling that even figures on the right, like Marjorie Taylor Greene, have spoken out against them and have been critical.
Mamdani merely does so more eloquently.
He did not produce anti-Israel sentiment; he is reacting to it.
But he is not doing so in a way that is materially beneficial. He is actually undermining anti-Israel and anti-Zionist movements through his actions—or lack thereof.
What people do not seem to realize, or fully grasp, is that Mamdani actively rode the energetic wave of anti-genocide protests to propel himself toward the mayoral seat in New York.
The most energetic volunteers for his campaign—the people who knocked on tens of thousands of doors—came to him because of the Gaza protests he attended and spoke at.
Mamdani attended these protests and used the language of “from the river to the sea.”
These volunteers, angry and hopeless over the ongoing genocide, flocked to his campaign believing that he would represent their anger and actually do something.
But as soon as Mamdani was elected, he did what countless others before him have done to the Palestinian cause: he abandoned them.
Mamdani went from chanting “from the river to the sea” and giving Malcolm X-style speeches at protests to literally condemning the phrase.
He condemned those very same protesters when they went to synagogues to protest the sale of stolen Palestinian land.
He appointed the Jewish Zionist police chief who beat up student protesters who established anti-genocide encampments at their universities.
He endorsed a Jewish Zionist congressman who bragged about being anti-BDS and invested city pension funds in Israeli weapons manufacturers during the genocide.
Mamdani knew this and endorsed him anyway.
And, of course, we all know that he condemned Susan Abulhawa, a Palestinian, because of the language she uses to condemn her Jewish Zionist Israeli oppressors.
Now, after promising to arrest Netanyahu—which was clearly a false promise designed to tap into Palestinian energy and secure more headlines and votes—he has reneged and offered words instead.
Mamdani did not recently discover that he could not arrest Netanyahu.
He knew he would not be able to do so the moment he appointed a Jewish Zionist, Israel-first police commissioner who would be responsible for coordinating the arrest in the first place.
It is baffling that people can run so much cover for him and make excuse after excuse, given that this man grifted off the bones of the slaughtered to attain power, only to throw them under the bus and use whatever leverage he does have to propel more Zionists into power.
It is insanity.
He is now doing photo shoots with Obama, AOC, Bernie and other liberal Zionists, amplifying the Zionist propaganda tactic to put the blame for the genocide on Netanyahus shoulders.
This is NOT PROGRESS.
It’s ‘hope and change’ and more of the same rebranded for 2026.
And you’re cheering !
