If you’re new here, hi 👋 I’m Joshua Palassis from Canada 🇨🇦
A few things about me:
🇬🇷 Greek & Italian 🇮🇹
🌍 Travelled to 18 countries
🫡 Former Canadian military officer
🎓 Earned a degree in Justice Studies
📚 Wrote a book
💰 Worked in sales
🚀 Started, failed, rebuilt & pivoted a few businesses
🎙️ Host of The Connector Podcast
📹 Currently documenting the journey through my Build in Public series on YouTube (and here on X)
🤝 And somewhere along the way, I became known as “The Connector.”
Today I’m building PALASSIS Media + my Skool community, "The Connector Fight Club," helping founders and coaches build stronger personal brands, better content, and better outreach systems.
I’m obsessed with business, sales, psychology, communication, networking, personal branding, content, relationships, faith, health, and figuring out how to build a damn good life. ✅
Still experimenting. Still failing. Still building. 😂
If you’re a founder, coach, creator, entrepreneur, or just building something cool...
Say hi 👋
Do you agree that "follow your passion" isn't the end of the sentence? 🤔
I personally believe that it's a generic cop-out from teachers and parents who don't ACTUALLY know what to teach a child.
There's more to the story...
Such a privilege to have @BobBurg on the podcast a few weeks back.

✅ Colours are SO nice and it looks great on mobile + desktop
✅ Logo is sick, words are clear, easy to read AND I think drive enough curiosity with enough information
❓Something you could consider adding is a little CTA in the righthand corner... not NECESSARY but... a link, a "let's connect" I dunno... something to think about
𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨:
✅ Clear, sweet, pretty, and just good.
❓ You could explore various shades behind your head to possibly make you POP even more, only cause that light pink isn't very "contrasty" from your skin and cream shirt.
𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞:
✅ Glad you're verified
✅ Your name is clean, and your username is very simple and similar - obviously, try to get the same username across socials, ideally
𝐁𝐢𝐨:
✅ Overall, super clear, easy to follow
❌ I would start the first line with a catchy phrase / value statement vs. just authority titles
❌ I would include a CTA.. not 100% sure what it would be, depending what you would want to offer to an X audience... maybe a form to qualify people, maybe a free tool, a free intro call, etc.
I see in your Linktree you have your free journal and overall it's pretty clean.. not too overwhelming. I would maybe indicate the free guided journal as your CTA in your X bio for now.

✅ You have a very clear philosophical lane around choices, self-trust, emotional patterns, accountability, rebuilding, and becoming the author of what happens next. “Practical Emotional Philosophy” is distinctive and gives you something ownable.
✅ Your strongest content is when the philosophy is attached to your actual life. The reintroduction post is a great example because you’re not just teaching “self-trust,” you’re explaining why you had to learn it. Same with being sick as a founder, rebuilding, boundaries, walking away, etc. That makes the ideas hit harder.
❌ Some posts start drifting into general personal development / inspirational X territory. “Keep showing up,” “hard work isn’t everything,” “you survived uncertainty,” etc. are good ideas, but a LOT of people can post them. I’d keep pulling those ideas back through your specific lens: What choice is happening here? What belief is driving it? What pattern are we interrupting? These aren't BAD, just more "basic"
❌ I’d also make the philosophy more tangible and visual. Right now you explain the ideas really well, but I want to SEE more of Melissa. Videos, speaking clips, journal pages, little decision frameworks, questions you actually use with yourself/clients, whiteboards, stories from your own rebuilding, behind-the-scenes moments, etc. Give the feed some colour and proof of the philosophy being lived, not just beautifully written.
❌ I’d lean harder into specific stories and situations instead of broad observations. “I realized I was saying yes because…” will usually be stronger for your brand than “Sometimes we say yes because…” The more personal you get, the harder your content becomes to copy.

You don’t lose momentum just because you rest.
Take the day off. Sleep in. Spend time with your family. Watch something stupid for a few hours 😂
Discipline doesn’t mean treating recovery like a character flaw.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is stop. 🔋

If you use other social media, do you find that you're more vulnerable on X?

"Most people don’t need a better plan. They need to stop negotiating with the plan they already made. Discipline gets easier when you quit reopening decisions you settled yesterday for yourself."

Did you just gasp?
Be careful what you believe online.
That was completely made up. 😂
Just because it’s said confidently, doesn’t make it true.
Do your due diligence my friends.
Critical thinking is key esp. in this age. 🔑

Priorities don’t mean much if they only exist in your head.
“I’ll do it later” is basically where tasks go to die 😂
Write it down. Rank it. Schedule it. 📅
Knowing what matters is one thing…
Actually organizing your life around it is the part that counts.
