It's DAY 6 of UK wide strike action, as staff at 68 universities walk out
We want proper pay rises, an end to the use of insecure contracts & meaningful action on workloads & equality pay gaps
AND for bosses to stop their pension attacks

Not. Just. Lecturers.
#OneOfUsAllOfUs #UCUstrike
Iβm taking part in #UCUstrike this week as part of @ucustandrews. Iβm lucky enough to have a permanent contract and a manageable workload (Iβm not an academic), but I see the impact of casualisation and excessive workloads on the researchers I work with.
While I donβt have the casualisation and workload issues of others striking this week, I have worked in the sector for 13 years and have seen below inflation pay awards for almost all of that time. #UCUstrike
And our pensions continue to be attacked. And every time, our concerns are ignored until we strike. #UCUstrike
ALT Honestly feel a little sheepish about the amount of time and effort I spent confirming "yes, the vaccine helps protect people from getting sick and dying" but I guess everyone needs a hobby.

Word of the day is βingordigiousnessβ: extreme greed; an insatiable desire for wealth at any cost.
Is it safe to turn @BBC6Music back on yet?
