In the past several hours, with the best of intentions, I made some inappropriate comments to Greg braggs
In the process of trying to interact with one of my Twitter heroâs I inadvertently broke Greg.
To his family and loved ones I am truly sorry.
He is a good man and I promise to not only do better in the future but visit Greg in âthe homeâ no matter how often he makes poo poo paintings (or in the medical field âdookie drawingsâ)
Get well soon â¤ď¸
How are we seriously having reporters crying over this after all we saw last week was the way the great Ditka dealt with reporters like Dan.
Dan would have been lucky if Ditka didnât personally escort him out.
I never realized how soft a lot of Chicago sports media is. Fans called out a disrespectful exchange with the star QB, and instead of owning it, thereâs now a massive crying tour of reporters going on each otherâs podcasts.
Seriously, get over yourselves. Youâre not the story. We have a good core for the first time in 15â20 years. We donât want more controversies. Weâre finally good!
Fans donât care about the injury stuff. Caleb got unfairly slandered (again) by the national media and a ton of the NFL world. Weâre just as pissed about it. Thatâs our QB. Part of the job as a reporter is understanding the stories that matter to your audience, which is us.
Thereâs also a difference between asking a touchy question vs. following up multiple times after the player declined to answer. A lot of Bears reporters do good work, but this missed the mark. Drop the ego, own it, learn from it, and move on.

Just a reminder that if you do a beer celebration after a touchdown that warrants more of a suspension then beating a woman and paying her for silence lmao
Yeah what this guy said đđ
The media thinks they have a right to know everything.
What's even more annoying is that Caleb Williams wishing for certain information to be private will only make much, if not all, of the mainstream media dig harder for it.
This is exactly why I don't think I'd want to be on the beat of a team that I'm actually a fan of.
While the access would undoubtedly be exciting, I don't want to be put in a position where I have to ask loaded questions, or I have to write stories that I know the athletes I'm rooting for won't appreciate.
I never wanted to be involved in that kind of media. That's why I love podcasting or writing as an outside fan rather than as an "insider."
The only way I'd ever want that job is if I was directly employed by the organization, so I knew my job was to support.
When you're employed by someone like the Tribune or the Sun-Times, you at times become pitted against the team because your company's interests are not always aligned with the sports organization you're writing about.
Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed about creating supportive content/media for the Bears and the Bulls because I wanted to provide an alternative to the mainstream local media that seemed to always have a problem with something my favorite teams did.
I'm very lucky to be in that position now, and it's only going to get better - both my platform and my content.
I'm never going to be Dan Wiederer & I'm thankful for that.
Looking at you Dan weird and @DavidHaugh. I wouldnât miss either for a second if they quit to work at Walmart (something they are infinitely more qualified for)

This is so tiresome. Caleb was clearly talking about the national conversation and drama around his injury, not about the specific reporters in the room. If youâre going to have inflated egos and sense of self importance you at least canât act like girls about it
(he only got annoyed with Dan Wiener in the room)
.@RahimiGrote react to Caleb Williams expressing frustration about previous reporting on his hamstring injury.
@grotesports: "The local media gets punished for this when it is the local media, the Bears corps of reporters whom I know, that has always been fair to him I think for the most part â Iâm sure that there are exceptions. They have been fair to him. They have not partaken in all of the crazy national talk, the shots at his character ... All of that should not be aimed at the local media."
@leilarahimi: "Theyâre the ones giving you the chance to tell the truth and set the record straight ⌠The weapon was fired at the wrong location."
âStop tying to be sassyâ
Brother you can spell or proof read
And you havenât made a single valid claim.
Just stop saying âright?â Over three words and we can move on.
Donât be a petulant child.

My boy waited three days and still didnât prove the stuff he claimed. Still waiting.
Also now you contradicting yourself further. Stop tying to be sassy. You trying with Twitter finger when you should be looking for facts.
Dudes coming at me for âusing words incorrectlyâ but has the grammar of a 3rd grader.
Give me one example of a word Iâve used incorrectly. Iâll waitâŚ..

lol once again using words incorrectly damn man does your one year old type your tweets for you. If theyâre so factual youâre have examples right? Nah instead youâre double responding and still ainât saying anything. The debtor đđđ
My one year old doesnât cry this much

Who played d3?
One was a Heisman Trophy winner and the No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick. The other was a legend who put up video game numbers.
Caleb Williams had the advantage in protecting the football. Tyson Bagent averaged more passing yards, more touchdowns, had a higher completion percentage and broke numerous college football records.
If you removed the school names, NFL Draft positions, and hype, and judged these two quarterbacks strictly by their college production, WHO ARE YOU TAKING?
Go Bears
#nfl #chicagobears #DaBears #Bears
Just for the record @PhilipCharlesIV do you remember me calling jj a ball mouse in 23 or so?
Man imagine being so insecure you have to interact with people who watch your content like this.
This is why I always recommend @PhilipCharlesIV for your bears content.
Not only does philly have excellent commentaty on the bears (and bulls and maybe still wrestling) but he cares how we care.
Oh and heâs a great dude.
The packers support beating women just like @itsmine49 does.
