Wish Hollywood would bring back the FAFO element with entertainment, stopped letting board rooms make the decisions, let the audiences decide for a bit, then course correct.

I recall laughing out loud during this movie when it was in theaters, kept getting strange looks, the edgy 90s were over by then.

A horror story for October? Appreciate you Jack.
Sometimes you have phishing, but then you have this. Hooking up everything to the internet is Opsec Russian Roulette.
A casino got hacked through a fish tank.
It has sensors. automated feeding, temperature control, remote monitoring.
connected to the internet. isolated on its own VPN. segregated from everything else.
Hackers still found it anyway, compromised it, pivoted to the main network.
started pulling data.
nobody monitors fish tank outbound traffic, why would they it's a fish tank.
Darktrace caught it, anomalous transfers to an external destination nobody in the building had ever talked to.
the casino had done everything right. separate network. isolated device. proper segmentation.
Still didn't matter.
The fish tank was still online, still running software, still had an attack surface.
Every device you connect is a door you didn't know you opened.

By understanding, do you mean nuance? Example: AI sticks to black and white and sucks at gray areas.

"if we shouldn't build data centers, what should we build?" Interviewer asks native American activist. He replies "wetlands," to applause from the crowd

I voted 3rd party for decades, stopped voting out of disgust after the 2020 election. The game is very rigged, 3rd parties get shut out. I propose instead that we unplug the government and reboot the country for the people, not for the oligarchs.

Had to face down using a walker, did whatever it took to not let it come to that, it takes daily work, but still walking on my own (walking normally 20% of the time).

Exit stage left, don't forget your parachute.
Then comes the dark night, when the old answers stop working and the new ones still sound like somebody selling something.
Anger gets you out of bed.
The rest is deciding who gets a key....
Waking up comes in phases...
First you blame the alarm.
Then you notice who set it.
You question the hours you sold,
the promise that keeping your head down would leave you something to stand on.
