Thanks so much for #OwlBabble'ing with me, everyone! I had so much fun yelling book recs at everyone and talking THE HAZEL WOOD. ☺️📚 xitter.cf/owlcrate/status/977718…

I had no say, thank goodness! The geniuses at @Flatironbooks and amazing illustrator @jimmyct nailed it without me. #OwlBabble xitter.cf/TIDDevoter/status/9777…

Absolutely! I don't plot ahead, so it was really really fun discovering the story as I went along. #OwlBabble xitter.cf/jessicahawkin10/status…

Try to shut out the noise and just focus on your excitement about the possibilities of the story. The internet and other people and your own insecurities can be loud, but if the desire to find out what happens next is a little louder, you'll make it through. xitter.cf/Stephanies291/status/9…

For many people we want to write but often feel like we aren't good enough or that the story has been told. @mimi_albert how were you able to fight that and continue to write what would eventually be a mystical journey in Hazel Wood?

The Magician’s Book in THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER, Glinda’s Great Book of Records in the Oz books (basically the magical internet of Oz!), and, of course, the entire Hogwarts syllabus. 📚👀❤️ #OwlBabble xitter.cf/owlcrate/status/977712…

I love the idea in PETER PAN of everyone having their own personal Neverland. I'd want a door to whatever my Neverland might be! (Since I'm no longer 11 and can't say Hogwarts) #OwlBabble xitter.cf/owlcrate/status/977709…

It took me so long I ran out of candle, but, fittingly, the final one was Cedar! xitter.cf/River8878/status/97770…

I don't have any luck objects, but I do get pretty dorky about candles: I light a particular one for each project I'm working on, to try to trigger a scent memory to help me write. I think it works! #OwlBabble xitter.cf/owlcrate/status/977707…

Q5) Alice and her mother have extremely bad luck, and unfortunately don't have any good luck charms! Do you have any objects that bring you luck? #OwlBabble

This is a really really hard one. But I would want a good storyteller to make the time go by quick, so I'll pick Shazi, from @rahdieh's THE WRATH AND THE DAWN! #OwlBabble xitter.cf/owlcrate/status/977704…
