Most players if not all players currently playing T6 own or bought T8 including all of its DLC or supported it in some form whether it was through cosmetics or even just going to TWT events.
If we as a player base are leaving their current game to enjoy their older games, we should be reflecting on why that is happening instead of blaming the consumer. We are not the companies property and we do not owe them our money.
