Hi, this the other admin as someone who graduated from major in related media communication and also working on related media and writing article for drama/movie, it's truly devastating to see people can't enjoy the art and analyzed character and drama in peace, as drama is the medium of life and how actor/actress is the one who delivery the story with their acting. We just want to praise them, and never ever intended to offend anyone. Hatred can easily clouded someone judgements over things, but we can have options take it or leave it, as simple as that. Let's bring the positive energy to the drama community. 💖

📸 260811 • Momo Wu Weibo update (1/5) This summer, I got to have another name: Murong Jinrui. I was so happy when I received this role. Not just because she has so many fun and comedic scenes, but because she feels like a real person, someone we could easily meet in our own lives. She’s lively, energetic, cute, funny, and sometimes a little annoying too. Beneath her seemingly carefree and carefree nature lies something deeper, but perhaps that carefree attitude is also her way of protecting herself. It’s part of her personality, but it’s also the shell she built after growing up on her own from such a young age. Her parents were constantly busy making a living, leaving little time to be by her side. But how could she not have wished for what other children had? To have parents who were there for her, who stayed close and watched her grow. Yet all she could do was keep telling herself, “I’m okay. I don’t need anything.” As a child, she learned to entertain herself, raising pigs, feeding chickens, and happily eating her beloved vegetables with dipping sauce. Pork stewed with pickled cabbage was a must at least three times a week. When faced with the complicated interests, tangled relationships, and endless love and hatred within the Murong family, her inherently simple heart often chose, almost instinctively, to turn away from it all. Thank you, Dajie, for bringing me so much joy. Through you, I got to say so many things that I would normally keep to myself. Your unfiltered honesty and almost childlike sense of freedom could make people burst out laughing one moment, and leave them feeling a little speechless the next. Your deep attachment to your mother came from a vulnerable place, from that simple longing to be loved and cared for by your mother. But that same longing also became the spark that fueled your stubbornness. So many times, your mother’s emotions could easily affect your judgment. You would let your feelings speak louder than reason, and sometimes become the one who started conflicts without even stopping to ask who was right or wrong. Now that the story has reached its ending, I find myself so reluctant to let Dajie go. In all the years I’ve spent acting, she is the only character who ever made my eyes turn red when we wrapped filming. That day, I was smiling as I took photos with everyone and accepted the beautiful bouquet prepared for her. But inside, I kept asking myself over and over: ‘Is it really over? Is this really the end?’ I feel incredibly lucky and honoured to have worked with Sister Xing’er, Hu Xing’er. She’s an actress I’ve admired for a long time, and there’s honestly so much I’ve learned from her. She’s gentle, kind, warm hearted, and so generous with everything she knows, always willing to share her precious experience and insights about acting. Getting to be your “daughter” was such a special experience. I’ve learned and gained so much from you, both as an actress and as a person. To my dear big brother Fu Xinbo, I still remember our very first scene together. It was the first time our whole “family” had met, and at that point, most of us barely knew each other. And somehow, almost everyone happened to be an introvert. You were the one who took the initiative to break the ice, making everyone feel at ease and helping us let go of that initial awkwardness so quickly. Big brother, thank you for being the kind of person who makes people feel comfortable just by being around. You really are such a wonderful person. To my little bitter gourd, my third brother and Second Young Master, Zhang Linghe. We were always bickering with each other in the drama, though somehow Dajie was usually the one who lost in the end But outside the scenes, I got to see just how sincere and gentle Linghe really is. He approaches every scene with so much care and seriousness, always thinking about how to make each performance better and putting his heart into even the smallest details. And of course, I can’t forget all the little things off set. Apart from constantly asking him, “Can you share some pickled cabbage with me?”, Dajie also got to enjoy the fruits, snacks, tea, and cooling drinks he generously shared with everyone. Truly the most thoughtful little brother. My handsome second brother Li Boze, with that sweet mouth of yours, I’m really happy we got to know each other. You’re definitely the most outgoing and cheerful one in the whole family, always bringing so much energy and laughter wherever you go. This family truly wouldn’t have been the same without you. My dear Wang Churan, my little crybaby Susu. Every time I saw you on set, Dajie couldn’t help but be amazed by how beautiful you are. It really breaks my heart to see you and Third Brother part ways on screen. You’re such a lively and beautiful girl, yet you were able to take on a character as complicated and layered as Susu. Seeing you bring all those different sides of her to life was truly impressive. You were incredible! And finally, it’s time to say goodbye to Murong Jinrui. Thank you for making this summer such a beautiful one. Until we meet again, see you next time. 🤍 #MomoWu #Overdo #这一秒过火

hi! this probably isn’t important to read, but i really want to say something about Overdo, and it will be the last time i ooc. this is probably going to be a very long one, so thank you in advance if you choose to read all the way through. if there were a word stronger than “love,” i think i’d use it to describe how i feel about this drama. do i think this drama is perfect? nope. i’ve never claimed that it is, because no drama is without its flaws. but despite every imperfection, i genuinely, wholeheartedly love this story. what i love most about Overdo is its storytelling. the story doesn’t feel like a collection of random events placed together just to keep the audience entertained. everything feels connected. every revelation, every conflict, every relationship, every decision has a ripple effect. one thing happens, and it changes something else. one character makes a choice, and someone else has to live with the consequences. one piece of information is revealed, and suddenly something from earlier takes on an entirely different meaning. that kind of storytelling is what makes me so invested. i especially love how the plot and characters grow together. the story isn’t moving forward while the characters remain in the same place. every experience leaves something behind. they carry their past into the present, and the choices they make are shaped by everything they’ve survived. Overdo also doesn’t ask its characters to be perfect. it lets them be complicated. it lets them make mistakes, hurt each other, misunderstand things, hold onto the past for too long, and struggle to find their way forward. and somehow, through all of that, it still gives them the chance to grow. though it’s slow, a baby step, is still a growth. it never felt like i was simply watching a story unfold. it felt like i was living alongside these characters, watching them make mistakes, carry their wounds, search for answers, lose people, find each other, and slowly become who they were always meant to be. one of the things that impressed me most about Overdo is the sheer number of themes it manages to explore without making the narrative feel bloated. human trafficking and the exploitation of women, capitalism without morality, corrupt elite families, toxic parenting, found family vs blood family, revenge, identity, justice, patriotism, trauma, grief, redemption, business, politics, war, generational cycles, karma, sacrifice, and healing. on paper, that sounds like far too much for one drama to handle. but somehow, Overdo makes it work. rather than treating these themes as separate storylines, it allows them to overlap and influence one another. the exploitation of women is tied to power. power is tied to wealth. wealth is tied to corrupt systems and families. trauma shapes identity. identity shapes relationships. family shapes choices. choices create consequences. and those consequences continue to ripple through generations. that interconnectedness is what makes the story feel so much bigger than a simple romance. so if you’re tuning in expecting a romance-driven drama, i think you might be looking at Overdo through the wrong lens. the romance is there, and it is beautiful, but it exists within a much larger story. qingyi and susu don’t simply have to overcome misunderstandings or external obstacles before they can be together. they first have to confront everything that made them who they are. they have to survive their circumstances, their pasts, their losses, their families, and the wounds that have followed them for years. their love is not the beginning of their journey. in many ways, it is what becomes possible after they have survived it. and that is why i see Overdo as a story about survival before love. it asks what it takes for people who have spent so long simply trying to survive to finally believe that they deserve something more than survival. something like love, home, and a future. i saw someone say, “but their lovey dovey scenes were too few, i don’t feel like they love each other enough.” and honestly, i think your definition of love might still be a little too limited. qingyi and susu loved each other throughout the entire story. i’ve said this before, but the love was never something that only existed in their romantic moments. it was there from beginning to end. whether you choose to see certain moments as romantic or platonic almost doesn’t matter to me, because the love itself was always there. it was in the way they protected each other. in the sacrifices they made. in the things they endured for one another. in the way they worried about each other, understood each other, remembered each other, and continued choosing each other even when doing so came at a cost. love doesn’t suddenly become more real because two people have more kissing scenes or more lovey dovey moments. i don’t need a couple to spend half the drama kissing, hugging, or calling each other pet names to understand that they love each other. romance is only one language of love, not the entire language. qingyi and susu’s relationship was built through survival, trust, sacrifice, grief, understanding, and choosing each other again and again. if you need constant lovey dovey scenes to believe two characters love each other, that’s fine. but that doesn’t mean their love was lacking. it might simply mean you were looking for love in one specific form, while Overdo was showing it to you in many others 😆 and i’ve also seen people saying that one of them loves the other more, or that qingyi and susu shouldn’t have met each other in the first place. and, i don’t see it that way. they both love each other deeply. they just speak completely different languages of love, and neither of them ever really learned how to love in a healthy way. i know people say qingyi is too clingy, while susu is too selfish. and yes, they can both be frustrating. i’m not denying that. but i think it’s important to remember who these two people are and what they have survived. they are two deeply traumatized people trying to navigate love without ever having been taught what healthy love is supposed to look like. sometimes i genuinely want to drag both of them to a therapist, sit them down, and tell them to stop fighting for five minutes. but that would also mean ignoring the reality of who they are. they are traumatized people and trauma does not make healing linear. when susu first came to qingyi, i think her safest assumption was that she would remain nothing more than a passing presence in his life. another name his life would briefly accommodate before returning to what it had always been. every sensible part of her accepted that as the truth before he even had the chance to contradict her. but then, the result refused to behave the way she expected. the more she tried to preserve her certainty, the more it unraveled beneath the smallest observations. the small talks that lasted longer than they should have. silences that somehow carried more meaning than words. little acts of care she couldn’t explain away. every encounter gave her another reason to question the conclusion she had already decided on. she kept searching for evidence that would allow her to dismiss what she was becoming to him. instead, every new observation made the null hypothesis harder to defend. he was falling toward her, and, despite everything she tried to tell herself, she was falling toward him too. and i think that uncertainty is such an important part of susu. because rejecting the null hypothesis doesn’t prove the alternative. it only tells you that something has changed. it doesn’t guarantee that the change will remain. she could see that qingyi had changed because of her. she could see that she mattered to him. she could see that he loved her. but knowing that someone loves you and believing that they will still be there tomorrow are two completely different things, and susu has never been good at believing in tomorrow. she lived inside that uncertainty. she knew she had altered him beyond reasonable doubt, but she could never convince herself that she was someone who could safely be chosen and kept. qingyi, on the other hand, keeps coming back because leaving her behind is something he simply cannot accept. there’s a deleted line where he tells her, “i’ll be a lamp. i’ll stay beside you and give you light until i dry out.” that line is qingyi’s entire love language to me. he just wants her alive and not leave him, and that is why i don’t understand the argument that one of them loved more. they loved differently. his love is stubborn. sometimes painfully so. but it is also incredibly patient. and then there is susu. i know some people became frustrated with her. i understand why. she pushes him away. she makes decisions on his behalf. she often takes away his ability to choose for himself because she has already decided what she believes is best for him. but that is also part of her trauma. people with heavy trauma can become incredibly controlling over their own circumstances because control feels safer than uncertainty. they make decisions before anyone else can make them for them. they leave before they can be abandoned. they reject people before those people get the opportunity to reject them. susu doesn’t always give qingyi the chance to choose. because somewhere inside her, she has already decided what his choice should be, and i think that comes from an enormous amount of guilt. she carries so much of it inside her that sometimes it feels like she would rather destroy herself than allow someone else to be hurt because of her. there is poison in her bloodstream, both literally and metaphorically, and qingyi keeps trying to pull that poison out of her. and it reminds me to the people saying their character development wasn’t visible. i think sometimes we expect trauma survivors to heal according to a neat character arc. especially when these two people are constantly being hit by one traumatic event after another, while living in a world that gives them almost no space to breathe, let alone heal. they don’t have therapy. they don’t have a safe environment. they don’t have the luxury of stepping away from everything and processing what happened to them. they are constantly being forced to make choices they never wanted to make. and there is a concept in trauma psychology called repetition compulsion, where people can become drawn toward repeating familiar patterns because familiar pain can feel safer than unfamiliar possibilities. it doesn’t mean they consciously want to suffer. it means that sometimes the unknown is more frightening than the pain they already understand. and that is why susu keeps walking away, and that is why qingyi keeps going back. she pushes him away because leaving feels safer than staying. he follows because losing her feels worse than being hurt again. she tries to protect him by making the choice for him. he tries to protect her by refusing to let her disappear. they keep repeating the same pattern because neither of them has learned another way to survive, but that doesn’t make every decision they make healthy. i do understand, but understanding their behavior is not the same thing as excusing it. back again to, they are not two emotionally healthy people who simply refuse to communicate. they are two deeply wounded people trying to love each other while still carrying everything that happened to them. sometimes, even healing itself can feel impossible when you are still trying to survive. so when people ask, “why didn’t they just change?” i think my answer is, because they are human. trauma doesn’t disappear just because the plot has reached the point where we want a character to be healed. sometimes progress looks like taking one step forward and three steps back. sometimes they make progress and then regress. sometimes it looks like recognizing the pattern and still falling into it. sometimes it looks like finally understanding why you keep hurting yourself, even if you haven’t yet learned how to stop. and sometimes, for someone who has spent their entire life surviving, simply choosing to stay alive is already a form of growth. that’s why i don’t think qingyi and susu’s love should be measured by who loved more. they love differently, neither of them knew how to do it perfectly. because neither of them had ever been taught how. i really hope people see their pov. they sometimes hurt each other because of madness, and they will regret it later, and it’s fine, human is like that. coming back to the drama itself, one of the things i appreciate most about Overdo is that nobody feels like a character who was created merely to occupy a space in the story. every person has somewhere they came from, something they want, something they fear, something they carry, and something they are trying to survive. even the supporting characters are not simply supporting characters. they have their own lives, wounds, reasons for becoming who they are. they are not just there to help the leads reach the ending. they are people moving through their own stories at the same time. and perhaps the most human part of all is that almost everyone is surviving through coping mechanisms that once protected them. the problem is that what saves you in one chapter of your life can become the thing that prevents you from living in the next. some learn to control, some learn to run, some learn to sacrifice themselves, and some learn to stop trusting. eventually, those survival mechanisms become cages. that’s why none of these characters feel fictional to me. they feel familiar. someone like qingyu could be your friend’s brother. someone like qingyi could be your boyfriend. someone like boze could be your friend. someone like cheng jinzhi could be your friend’s mother. if you look closely, they are people you have known irl probably. they might be people you couldn’t understand until you finally learned what happened to them. i love how their story doesn’t divide their characters into people who are simply good and people who are simply bad. their character also reminds us that behind every behavior we don’t understand, there might be a story we haven’t heard yet. that’s what makes them feel alive to me, because they are so human. i can see them in reality. another thing i really appreciate about Overdo is how carefully its characters are written. every character has layers, but qingyi and susu especially stand out. they are incredibly complex, and the more i rewatch, the more i realize that there were things about them i didn’t understand the first time. their motivations, their fears, their contradictions, even their smallest reactions all seem to reveal another layer of who they are. this is also where i think linghe and churan deserve so much credit. they didn’t just portray qingyi and susu on the surface. they understood the emotional logic underneath them. they made these characters feel like people rather than performances. and i’m especially grateful that the drama gives almost every major character a proper emotional arc. supporting characters aren’t simply introduced, used to move the main plot forward, and then discarded. they have their own stories, their own choices, and their own consequences. but among all the themes Overdo explores, the one that shocked me the most was human trafficking. the drama doesn’t treat trafficking as a single act of abduction, it shows the entire process of dehumanization. these women are abducted, sold, trained, exploited, controlled, and eventually discarded when they are no longer considered useful. their identities are stripped away and replaced with identities that serve the people who control them. they are treated as commodities rather than human beings. but what makes this storyline especially meaningful is that Overdo doesn’t only focus on the question of victimhood. it asks what happens after survival, because rescue is not the end of the story. a survivor still has to live with what happened. they still have to reconstruct their identity, regain their autonomy, and figure out how to exist in a world where someone once had complete control over their life. and instead of making these women passive victims who only wait for someone else to save them, the drama allows many of them to become active participants in destroying the system that hurt them. they fight back, they protect each other, they reclaim their agency. they become part of the force dismantling the very structure that once treated them as disposable. they are capable of fighting for themselves, just as much as anyone else. i also really want to talk about the patriotism in the latter half, because i think it is one of the themes that surprised me the most. from the beginning, almost every character has this tendency to choose other people before themselves. qingyi and susu constantly sacrifice their own happiness for the people they love. they endure pain, give things up, and make choices that hurt themselves because, to them, protecting someone else is worth more than protecting their own happiness. but by the final arc, that instinct becomes something much larger. they are no longer sacrificing only for the people closest to them. they are sacrificing for their country. for people they may never meet. for a future they may never get to experience themselves. it is presented through people standing at the edge of impossible choices and deciding that someone else’s life is worth more than their own safety. ye zhihong is a perfect example of that. she willingly gives up so much for something greater than herself, she has everything to lose, and she chooses to do it anyway. these aren’t fearless heroes who don’t care whether they live or die. they are people who have dreams, people who have futures they could have chosen. and yet, when the moment comes, they choose to protect something bigger than themselves. Overdo begins with people fighting to survive themselves, but eventually, some of them begin fighting so that other people can have the chance to survive too. their love becomes larger. their sense of responsibility becomes larger. their definition of “the people i need to protect” becomes larger. i still have so much more i want to say about Overdo, but my time is ticking and i’m currently out on the ocean, very bad connection here, so i’ll just stop it here. i’m genuinely sorry that this account hasn’t been as updated as it was during the shooting period. when i first created this account, the purpose was actually very simple. i just wanted to make one little corner that i could look back on in the future, because linghe and churan are both very dear to me. i had been waiting for them in one drama since 2022, and eventually, i decided to make this account to update about them and support them as a fan of both, and now, i think the purpose of this account has already been fulfilled. i created it because i was too excited to talk about them, to witness them finally work together, and to have a little place where i could document and share that journey. after waiting since 2022, Overdo finally happened. we got qingyi and susu. we got to see linghe and churan bring these characters to life, and i got to experience this entire journey with all of you. so even if this account wasn’t as active during airing as i had hoped, i think it has already become what i wanted it to be. it honestly makes me a little sad that when Overdo finally aired, i was so busy, and the other admins were busy too. so i’m really sorry, on behalf of all of us, that we weren’t able to update as much as we wanted to. i was personally caught up with research and catching my study, while another admin was busy with a business trip, and unfortunately, real life happened right when the drama we had been waiting for finally arrived. but regardless of how active this account was, i’m incredibly grateful that linghe and churan chose this script and became qingyi and susu. they showed me another side of their acting, another caliber that i had been hoping to see from them. and if you asked me whether i regret them taking this script because it didn’t give us enough romance, the answer is absolutely not. i don’t regret it at all. because i think there are some stories that aren’t meant to give you endless sweetness. some stories are meant to give you something deeper. qingyi and susu may not have had the perfect circumstances, and they may never have had the perfect time. but i’m content knowing that, in the finite amount of time they were given, when they finally had each other, they were able to have their own little happily ever after <3 even if it was brief. even if it came after so much pain. they found each other, and for me, that is enough. i’m also incredibly grateful that this account brought me some amazing friends. sis everyday, sis daily, sis zip, and sis jiu, thank you so much for being my friends throughout this past year. i’m genuinely so grateful to have met all of you~ i usually do everything alone when it comes to fandom, hihihi, so having people who understood the same things i was excited about, who could scream about the same scenes with me, and who were there throughout this whole journey honestly meant so much. and to walnutz and chuans who helped keep the peace during this entire time, thank you too. i truly love both of my fandoms. ❤️🧡 one last thing from me, and i really hope everyone can apply this. please don’t ship linghe and churan in real life. i genuinely hope that we can keep qingyi and susu as qingyi and susu, and leave linghe and churan as linghe and churan. please don’t compare them, don’t overanalyze their real life interactions, and don’t turn the characters into something that needs to be carried over to the actors. if you miss qingsu, rewatch them. don’t spam or being annoying on the place that aren’t ours. if you miss the atmosphere of their story, i actually made a playlist that i think fits them, so please feel free to listen to it. i always put it on whenever i miss them~ 🖇️ open.spotify.com/playlist/7i… and lastly, thank you to everyone, overdo family <3 feel free to unfollow this account if you want to, because from now on, i’ll probably only come back whenever i suddenly miss qingsu and feel like screaming about them again hehehe, unless there is linghe x churan pt. 2 then i might comeback if life allows hehehe 😆 thank you for being my friends too, even if we only knew each other through this little corner of the internet. i genuinely loved seeing everyone’s reactions here about them, reading your thoughts, watching you all fall apart over the same scenes like me, and experiencing this entire era together. i hope life treats you kindly. i hope things work out for you. i hope you get everything you’re hoping for, even if it takes a little longer than expected. i hope you bloom after the hardship. i hope everyone in overdo (and us too) more abundance. and i hope, wherever life takes all of us from here, we can look back at this era someday and remember how much we loved these characters. and most importantly, i hope you are happy. wherever you are, whatever you’re doing, i hope things work out for you. until our paths cross again, somewhere, someday. thank you for everything everyone, the purpose of this account has been fulfilled. it was such an era. bye bye bye!!!!! 👋❤️‍🔥
