Still kind of amazed. I was on #Jeopardy last night…and I won? This does feel like a dream

Holy shit. I’m crying.
If you read just one thing today, read this excerpt from my @parisreview interview with #RayBradbury. Today is Bradbury’s birthday and this story has one of the best endings EVER. #inspiration
Long shot: Claire in Colonial Village, I found something that you might want back. I’ve put it on the telephone pole at Queens’ Lane and Rhodes. Hope you find it.

Here I was thinking I was lucky to get a 7000-series. Car 7304, eastbound Silver Line @wmata
Jesus fucking Christ Google. “When you refine a search, Google may include search results other than news content” I AM REFINING IT TO FIND NEWS CONTENT WHAT THE FUCK.
I swear Internet search is collapsing back to the Altavista days.

90% of the "European food fixed me" or "European food made me loose 10lbs" posts is literally just people from car dependent suburbs enjoying walkable cities and not noticing

A broadcaster mistook Guardians pitcher Ben Lively for Blake Lively, and Blake Lively actually responded 😂
"Well. Cat's outta the bag. I'm a highly professional baseball player on the side."

Looks like my anxieties are not unfounded washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/…
Also, given that @wmata has had problems on the 7000s with things as basic as “making sure the wheels are the right distance apart,” I still get pretty uneasy if I hear something creak on a 7000 series car.
This person should be named and shamed. Cheating on a pop quiz YOU SIGNED UP FOR that gets you NOTHING is the surest sign that you are an absolute loser.

Car 7739, loud metallic creaking. Could be nothing. Could be…yeah. Sounds like someone bending the whole damn car as it goes round a curve. @wmata

Dayton, Ohio, is a little too far away to provide mutual aid!
It’s Impunity Week here in DC. This scofflaw is illegally parked in front of GW Hospital’s ER. Given that he’s from Dayton, OH there is no reasonable emergency justification here
Now that RFK is no more, shouldn’t we just rename the station “Armory?” @wmataGM @wmata @Metrorailinfo
One of the things that makes European public transport better than American public transport is that suit-wearing Important People, often including powerful bureaucrats and elected officials, use it and rely on it.
