I understand not liking the Canadian system, or not wanting a Canadian-type system in the States. That's understandable.
That's not what he said.
He is talking about dismantling something in a country over which he is not the President and will never be the President.
He's talking about what we should be allowing Canada - a country, not a state, not a territory, not anything the United States holds any control over - to have.
He's speaking as if he has any say over Canada, or even knows what the hell is he talking about. In doing so, he is systematically eroding a generations-long close alliance.
Leave Canada alone. Let them be our sovereign neighbor. Build a trade agreement with them.
Stop the trolling. It's not helping anyone.

Question for Alberta separatists and other Canadian admirers of President Trump: do you agree with him that the United States “permits Canada to have a health care system and other things that they shouldn’t be having?”
When you achieve your ultimate goal of Canada becoming an American appendage, do we no longer get to have a health care system? 🧐
Trump: "I do not want to lose as your representative $90 billion for the privilege of allowing Canada to have a healthcare system and other things that they shouldn't be having"
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
US Census Bureau data put the US goods trade deficit with Canada at $48.3 billion in 2025, not $90 billion. That is US imports from Canada ($381.9B) minus US exports to Canada ($333.6B). For January–August 2026 the deficit was $33.7 billion. census.gov/foreign-trade/…

5 minutes after Premier Danielle Smith rebuked PM Carney’s “no to the 9” the UCP sent out a txt to Albertans to vote “YES” to the 9
It directed Albertans to a survey asking who’d they vote for if an election was held today.

There is a fundamental divide here: The Trump Administration has the mindset of a thief. They want to steal what others have without fair compensation. By contrast, Canada and Mexico have the mindset of traders, seeking to trade value for value.

Hey, @JeffreyRWRath! We wouldn’t be having a referendum, at all, if Smith hadn’t changed the law and ignored the courts for you. She might not have handled the assignment you gave her exactly to your specifications, but don’t pretend she wasn’t in on your separatist strategy.
The kompromat Russia has on trump must be insane.

We don’t use Starlink for our responses inside Russia. We use Starlink to intercept jet-powered “shaheds” that attack our civilians and kill families.
Starlink wasn’t turned off – its speed was reduced. And when the speed was reduced, we were unable to intercept a certain number of jet-powered “shaheds.” We couldn’t use a tool that helps protect people. That’s very painful and frustrating.
We also use Starlink for mid-range strikes against enemy military targets in our temporarily occupied territories. We couldn’t do that when the restrictions were in place. And third, what matters most is people. Our warriors, who spend weeks and months on the front line, receive food and water delivered by drones using Starlink.
Has the speed been fully restored to what it was before? No. Is it being restored now? Yes.

Another day, another UCP scandal where the same names keep coming up.
Premier Danielle Smith repeatedly claimed her government knew nothing about the contractors selected to build Indigenous recovery centres, insisting those decisions were made independently.
Now, court filings allege the government actually recommended a contractor linked to Sam Mraiche, a businessman with deep connections to the Premier’s inner circle.
So what exactly did the Premier know, and when?
During my time as Infrastructure Minister, these projects fell under Minister Dan Williams’ portfolio, with direct involvement from the Premier’s office.
These recovery centre contracts were among the serious concerns that led me to approach cabinet to call for a public inquiry and ultimately contributed to my resignation as Minister.
A year and a half later, the same politically connected individuals keep appearing, and the questions continue to mount.
Albertans deserve answers about the role played by Minister Williams, the Premier’s office, and who benefited from these contracts.
Enough with the denials and deflection. Albertans deserve full disclosure.

The only thing she offers is fear. Fear of an NDP government. Fear of "wokeism." Keep supporting Smith or bad things will happen.
