We've talked repeatedly about scaling the chain to 50k TPS and sub-second inclusion times.
But there's been a problem. Proving a payment takes modern iphones over 3s.
This release drops that to sub 200ms!
All latency will be eliminated
Introducing Zakura Common.
We just shipped 14x faster proving, 21x faster hashing, 1.5x faster trial decryption, and 4-8x faster verification.
New releases of Zakura and wallets that use Zakura Common (such as @vizorwallet) will benefit immediately.

Shield your funds in Ironwood this weekend 🫡
Come onboard from exchanges, or try the speed of shielding :)
Check it out! I've loved using it during testflight
The way Zcash was meant to feel.
Now available on iOS and Android.

Vizor is beautiful
Loving using it as a shielded desktop wallet! It syncs so fast, and solves my multi-account needs
Introducing Vizor.
A beautifully crafted @Zcash wallet for your desktop. Multi-account in one wallet. Keystone on day one. Open source.
Available now on macOS: vizor.cash
Honestly the hardest part of vibecoding in Cosmos isn't the code, it's finding endpoints that don't flake on you.
We run all this infra for Keplr internally already. Now you can use it, too.
Free credits on signup, pretty generous for experimenting.

Been using Polaris since its inception. It’s a shame that’s it’s not longer gonna be a thing.
I found it so easy to se to trade any asset on any chain.
Being an early test user and talking with the team about it was definitely a highlight for me last year. One last thing I can probably say is damn

Imagine @cosmoslabs_io not supporting the Osmosis merge and then seeing someone from @SolanaFndn say this.
@osmosis created far more than $30M of value for the ecosystem.
They built so many things. This should have been a straight yes.
They’ve been “Cosmos labsed.”
Its hard to build without stable dependencies.
Something we never talked about, was the huge progress we had in our product of bring private custody, and cross-chain swaps with Polaris, with (what I consider) the most secure MPC wallet thats been built.
It worked. I'm incredibly proud of it.
MPC custody owned by your existing wallet, that would require TEE's + MPC assumptions to break in order to risk any fund loss. 0 way to centrally steal funds. Your funds at rest are private on Namada, and Polaris could execute cross-chain swaps across Cosmos, Solana, Ethereum, and route you back.
But we kept running into dependency failure after failure. Namada wouldn't upgrade to give permissionless assets for months.
Bridges repeatedly kept shutting down, refused to do their previously committed growth plans, and kept renegotiating for increasingly extractive terms. The commercials and stability to build was gone.
The prior stable players were gone. They got
- kicked out behind closed doors
- moved on due to disappointment in the ecosystem direction.
- changed to bet on EVM, then got rugged
- still bet on EVM, then got drained in a security bug
When @aaronxkong says being on the cosmos hub gives more leverage, giving a clear stability in brand is a huge part of it. All these dependency risk problems get far better, as they used to be.
Now "enterprise strategies" has a legible story for value accrual, this makes the hub a more believable counterparty. All competitors (with existing distribution) in enterprise accrue the value privately, or are actively transitioning to do so. (xitter.cf/hal2001/status/2031737…) Cosmos must show how this can accrue to the token.
But even more importantly to me, this merge enables stable Cosmos DeFi.
DEX + permissionless cosmwasm atomically.
Its more exciting to build here, and you can do so with stable dependencies. Osmosis itself is stable, but an ecosystem needs to collectively grow together. Cosmos DeFi, always betting on maximal decentralization and cypherpunk values, will be far easier for everyone.
Lets go! This will set Osmosis community, brand + tech up to benefit from further usage and growth of all Cosmos.
This easies integration BD wise as well, focusing all the effort of Cosmos onto one-chain. This has been a huge painpoint for all RWA-related issues, and bridges. Despite app-chain bridges in principle fully solving this, the off-chain side shows massive economies of improvement with concentration on a single chain.
Cosmos accrues value from its utility, with Osmosis' strong brand throughout crypto. Always prioritizing user safety, UX, MEV protection and most long-standing on-chain crypto players have used us.
Today we’re proposing something big for the Cosmos ecosystem.
We’re bringing Osmosis directly into the Cosmos Hub.
If approved by governance of both chains, the Osmosis DEX will be migrated natively on the Hub — unifying liquidity, governance, and security under one chain.
This proposal reflects a natural evolution for Cosmos: sovereign experimentation followed by consolidation once infrastructure has matured.
Osmosis has served as the primary liquidity venue of Cosmos since 2021. Now it has the opportunity to become native infrastructure of the Hub itself.
OSMO holders would have the ability to convert to ATOM through a structured migration process, allowing the Cosmos to finally align around a single coordination asset.
Finally, ATOM will have its first true revenue stream and direct exposure to the liquidity engine of Cosmos.
For years the question has been: how does ATOM capture value from ecosystem activity?
This proposal is our answer.
Governance discussion begins today.

People underestimate how much easier Cosmos DeFi will be *if* this prop does pass.
Dex + permissionless CosmWasm + atomic transactions.
If I were a Cosmos builder, I'd start working on lending protocols, LSTs, etc to relaunch on the Hub.

Being able to tag @Osmosis without @OsmosisZone is so weirdly satisfying…
Maybe because it took us 3 years to get this handle...

Polaris supports trading for all assets on @JupiterExchange.
You can search by token name, or copy & paste the contract address, and then swap across Solana and 20+ other networks, all in one place.

$OSMO is king 🫅🧪
Shower thought: If @zkdragon wanted to raise for some new privacy coin, the round would be 10x oversubscribed instantly. But nah — dude said “skip the clout,” and decided to drop all the real innovation on Osmosis instead. 🚀

Replying to @DannyUrbanNomad @osmosis
Burn only started from taker fees this year and has been increasing with efficiency improvements.
We aim to further increase the rate of burn through volume increases. Additionally, the economic impact is on the circulating supply rather than the maximum supply, so it should have a higher impact.
