"I need to beat you, Rock. I need it more than anything you could imagine."
A take I've seen a bit interacting with City fans has been "Do you want us to turn up in black?" when people dislike how they've carried on since the guilty verdict. They can't understand that there's a difference between supporting the team and rubbing the cheating in our faces.

This is probably one of the messiest elements of it all. Three of the City players that started today were part of that summer spending spree. Layers upon layers of chaos for the Premier League.
Man City were aware of Premier League charges verdict in July.

After yesterday, seeing the City fans saying "We'll cheat when we want", "Mauled by the cheaters", and sing their owner's name, I have zero sympathy for any of them. That's the hardcore away support, the most representative group. Shameless.
"It's a small change" should be their new slogan going into the next election.
That or "Labour - faffing around the edges"
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.

"Cheating" becomes "heartbreak" when you were on the gravy train and can't bring yourself to criticise the undermining of the national sport by the club even now

Because - of course - displaying a complete lack of sporting integrity and waving through cheating on an industrial scale would be a wonderful advert for the ‘greatest league in the world’.
Top Premier League execs would be “staggered” if there are 15 clubs ready to vote to expel #mcfc from the top division because of the commercial damage it would cause. Full story here. skysports.com/share/13593363

Etihad threatening to sue. UAE reportedly intimating that UK investment could be pulled. A Prime Minister couching any criticisism. If this sorry saga doesn't convince you that state ownership of football clubs should never be allowed, nothing ever will.
Pints in stands? Yes.
Remove corrupt owners? No.
New Labour in action.
Andy Burnham has said he would be “really concerned” to lose Manchester City’s owners as a result of the club being found guilty of more than 100 breaches of Premier League rules | ✍️

The stupidest thing is how transparent the cheating was. Man City were averaging £600m more in commercial income than Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea in the decade to 2020. It was stark raving obvious that those numbers could not be real for City’s global scale at that time.

Yes that’s sportswashing you absolute fucking moron
Interesting times at @ManCity who have almost no debt, have poured hundreds of millions into regenerating their local area and have the best youth system in the country so they must be punished by the PL.
@ManUtd sacked half their employees , racked up a £1 billion + debt , funnelled their profits to the Cayman Islands and get to set the PL spending rules.
Funny old game as Greavsie used to say.
