When the Tongdale has winter wheat it grows a lovely crop of poppies and they’re always welcome. A group of walkers just told me that they wish all farms were like this - If you’d like more #organic farms buy more British organic food, it’s as simple as that!

Yesterday’s trip to @WhitesOats with @organicarable and was a reaffirmation of why it’s the best #Organic contract we have. Relationships, transparency and a shared goal is what great deals are made of. Thank you to all of you that made this relationship possible 🙏

For every acre of #organic cereals there will be at least 1/3 acre of flower rich ley supporting pollinators. No herbicides means the cereals crop has flowering plants within the crop again feeding insects. No other farming system supports pollinators as #organic does.
Totally agree Dave, including the ‘buy organic food’ bit - organic demand directly leads to more pesticide free farmland where nature has a home alongside nutritious food production rather than being excluded from it #chooseorganic
