Assets are overvalued due to artificially suppressed interest rates over the last 20 years, which has created bubbles in real estate and stocks. Bonds provide negative real return. Cash loses purchasing power every year.
The only rational option for long term value storage for non traders is hard assets or undervalued companies if you can find them in an environment of overvaluations, which even Warren Buffet can’t do.
Precious metals were the logical choice for this environment in the past, but that was before Bitcoin arrived on the scene and solved for all of Gold’s shortcomings: difficult verification, difficult transport, difficult storage, and gradual debasement.
Until there is a structural reset and all financial assets are repriced, the only rational place for the average investor to store their long term wealth is Bitcoin.
Diversification is normally a great strategy, but that assumes a functioning financial system that operates according to free market principles.
Unfortunately, we live in a centrally controlled financial system where the Fed has distorted all prices across all assets within the system by manipulating the price of the money the underlies the entire system.
To protect your wealth, you have to step outside of the system and ditch antiquated stores of value like Gold.
Once you realize this, you realize Bitcoin is the hurdle rate, and you become a Bitcoin maxi.

We have already generated a gross Bitcoin Yield of 1.98% quarter-to-date, and I believe there is more to come. Anyone following Bitcoin treasury analytics will know that 2026 has not been an easy environment in which to generate Bitcoin Yield.
Despite this, we delivered 15.29% in Q2, primarily through a combination of discounted warrant buybacks and the strategic use of leverage via our Coinbase credit facility, which we have since started paying down.
Our current amplification ratio stands at 13.6%, and I believe we are well positioned to build on the 1.98% Bitcoin Yield already achieved this quarter.
It is worth highlighting the capital structure at Smarter Web. We have two securities listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, each designed for investors with different objectives.
SWC: our Ordinary Shares. Called common stock in the US and in my mind nothing about SWC deserves the term ordinary! These offer exposure to the potential growth of Smarter Web, including both our operating businesses and our Bitcoin treasury.
MORE: our Preferred Shares. Designed around income, with a cumulative, variable-rate preferential dividend payable weekly.
Different structures. Different investor objectives. Different rights and risks. Neither offers guaranteed outcomes.
But perhaps the most important part of our story is what sits underneath our balance sheet.
Our balance sheet is built on what I believe to be the best form of capital the world has ever seen: Digital Capital. We currently hold 2,830 Bitcoin. And our ambition is to keep growing that position.
We are building for the long term.

Those that have DCA'd into MSTR since it adopted it's BTC strategy have enjoyed an annual 65% CAGR.
I'd say that's acceptable.
BTC and BTCTCs punish traders, but handsomely reward steady accumulators.

In Money Heist a hostage falls for the man holding her in the vault, joins the crew, and takes the codename Stockholm.
The replies defending a company that sold 23% of its btc treasury, told shareholders on 11 Sep that holdings were "unchanged," and disclosed the sale and buyback higher (locking in an effective loss for shareholders) after the end of the quarter with reasoning that barely holds up, feels very similar. The facts are not in dispute; they're in the filings. What's being defended is the feeling of having been in the vault together.
I know that feeling, having been on the inside as well. I was a shareholder, and I noticed my own reasoning bending toward what I wanted to believe, rather than looking at the facts objectively. It's a classic case of confirmation bias.
Nobody in the vault was stupid, and the other villains in the show were likable too. But that was the point of the show. Shareholders however, are not owed a villain. They are owed dates, prices, and a straight answer about what 10,000 coins were doing in those wallets for close to a month, when the company said they had sold, sat in cash, and bought back at a higher price that could have only happened weeks later. Ask for those, and you are not against the company; you are the only one in the room acting like an owner.
They see a fud campaign. I see Stockholm syndrome.
Shareholders have the power to fire Simon Gerovich. Metaplanet has potential, but not with the current leadership in place. Instead of complaining about management and being ignored by them, why not replace them?
If you are a shareholder or are interested in becoming a shareholder, there are options.
The 10th Series anti-dilution clause wasn’t just a bad business decision. It was a severe breach of fiduciary duty that transferred a massive amount of shareholder wealth directly into the hands of CEO Simon Gerovich. Investors trusted leadership to build value, not to siphon it away from the people who funded the vision.
If the current board of directors refuses to hold Simon accountable and protect shareholder investments, investors have the legal power to remove them and force his ouster.
The Japanese Companies Act gives shareholders the ultimate authority. Investors are not helpless. Here is exactly how shareholders can successfully unite to purge the board and save Metaplanet:
1️⃣ Step 1: The 3% Trigger (The EGM Demand)
Shareholders don’t have to wait for the next annual meeting. Any shareholder—or group of shareholders—who has held just 3% of Metaplanet’s voting rights for the last 6 months can legally demand an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM). If Simon’s board tries to ignore the request and block the meeting, Japanese law allows shareholders to bypass them completely and petition the court to call the meeting themselves.
2️⃣ Step 2: The 50% Victory (The Proxy Power)
Once the EGM is called, shareholders hold the cards. Removing a resistant director only requires a simple majority (over 50%) of the votes cast at the meeting. Simon relies on a divided, quiet shareholder base to keep his grip on power. But when retail and institutional investors align, they easily command the numbers needed to vote out every single director standing in the way of a new CEO.
3️⃣ Step 3: Launching the Proxy Campaign
This is where shareholder unity becomes a strength. Investors need to pool their votes, launch an organized proxy campaign, and coordinate their blocks. By voting out the defensive directors and installing independent leaders who actually respect fiduciary duty, the new board can immediately terminate Simon Gerovich.
The Bottom Line:
Metaplanet’s future belongs to its owners—the shareholders—not an executive looking out for his own pockets. Investors have the law on their side, and they have the numbers.
It is time to stop complaining on the sidelines and start organizing. Share this, tag fellow investors, and coordinate voting blocks. It’s time to clean house.

Lies, lies, lies.
Simon says that they sold 10,000 Bitcoin and bought them back again at a $73 million loss to prove liquidity.
He must truly think shareholders are stupid. (Most of the remaining ones are to be honest.)
You don't need to sell close to a quarter of your BTC to prove liquidity, and at a 9% loss to boot.
This has all the markings of a trade gone wrong.
They probably needed the cash for their put selling activity, and ended up destroying significant shareholder value in the process.
Metaplanet is now actively decreasing Bitcoin per share. They are going in the opposite direction of the other treasuries.
Could you imagine if MSTR, ASST, of SWC were secretly trading close to 25% of their BTC like Metaplanet did?
Metaplanet management is both corrupt and incompetent.
I have two important updates to share with you today as we continue to build Metaplanet into a global financial platform rooted in Bitcoin.
From the beginning, our strategy was never simply to accumulate Bitcoin. Our objective has been to build the leading Bitcoin financial company in Asia and, over time, become one of the leading Bitcoin financial institutions in the world.
Over the past year, we have worked to execute that strategy with discipline and speed: growing our Bitcoin reserves, expanding our operating businesses, broadening our access to capital, and laying the foundation for a scalable credit platform built around Bitcoin.
The pending Superplanet transaction, the development of Metaplanet Securities, the expansion of our distribution capabilities, and the continued growth of our Bitcoin holdings are all components of a unified long-term strategy.
Here are the latest steps on this journey:
- First, in the third quarter we executed a sale and repurchase of Bitcoin that demonstrated the liquidity of our Bitcoin reserves and increased our overall Bitcoin position.
- Second, we are launching a Net Interest Income Strategy designed to create recurring income streams and lower our effective cost of capital, supporting the next phase of our growth.
Rating agencies and credit investors ask one question of a Bitcoin company: can that Bitcoin be turned into cash to meet obligations, and will it be? We answered by doing it. We converted Bitcoin into cash, exceeding the total outstanding principal of our bonds, borrowings and other interest-bearing debt. We held that cash, then bought back more Bitcoin than we sold.
Net, we added 1,000 BTC.
As of September 30, Metaplanet held 44,000 BTC, making us the second-largest listed Bitcoin treasury company in the world. Metaplanet has generated revenue from its Bitcoin Income Generation business for eight consecutive quarters, has expanded its strategic footprint through acquisitions and new business initiatives, and has now demonstrated that its Bitcoin can be converted into cash when needed, an important step in our march to realizing our potential in Japan and beyond.
We continue to execute on our goal: Building a world-class Bitcoin financial institution. And we will continue to update you as we move ahead with additional value-creating initiatives.
Full details are in the four TSE disclosures released today.

A short post on #Metaplanet
I won't go into details of what I think of the disclosures today. Some were good, some were not; although not unexpected.
But I find one point highly peculiar.
In Q3, Metaplanet sold 10,000 BTC at an average ¥12.47M and later bought 11,000 back at ¥13.63M, 9.3% higher. Against simply holding, the round trip cost about ¥11.6bn (~$73m) before fees.
The stated reasons are a US tax loss, worth 'a possible' ~$97m deferred tax asset that isn't yet recognized, and showing rating agencies the company will sell BTC to meet obligations. Both were available for the price of a bid-ask spread and US wash-sale rules don't reach bitcoin, so a same-day sale and rebuy books the same tax loss and proves the same willingness to sell.
Instead the company carried the price risk for an undisclosed stretch and paid roughly 75% of the tax asset's potential value to get back in.
That leaves two readings. Either a discretionary BTC trade went the wrong way and was described afterwards as a credit exercise, or the timing explains something the filing doesn't say.
I'm not buying it. And unfortunately there is little trust after what we've seen.
If they have nothing to hide, Metaplanet should publish the date, size and price of every sale and every repurchase, and how long the proceeds sat in cash.
This smells like an attempted trade gone wrong.

You don’t have to own Metaplanet to criticize management and hold them accountable.
Metaplanet is the third largest Bitcoin treasury in the world and only credible player in Japan. Their actions impact all Bitcoiners and the ecosystem.
It’s also the right thing to do to call out immoral behavior and protect potential investors from an extractive company.
