Today I had the great joy of joining the faithful of the @opusdeius in the @DiocesePB for a special Eucharist at St. Vincent Ferrer Church celebrating the feast of Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer, founder of Opus Dei.
It was a genuine delight to encounter so many families, young people, children, and adult lay faithful whose lives continue to be inspired by Saint Josemaría’s timeless invitation to discover that the ordinary circumstances of daily life—our work, family life, friendships, and responsibilities—are privileged paths to holiness and to a profound encounter with Jesus Christ.
My heartfelt gratitude goes in a special way to Father Juan Vélez, a priest of the Prelature of #OpusDei, for organizing today’s beautiful celebration and for his generous priestly ministry.
I also had the opportunity to visit for the first time the beautiful Roseaire Retreat Centre in Delray Beach, where the Prelature conducts retreats in our Diocese. It is truly an exceptional place of silence, prayer, and spiritual renewal—a wonderful setting in which to encounter the Lord.
I extend my prayerful best wishes to the entire Opus Dei community. May the intercession of Saint Josemaría continue to inspire many men and women to seek holiness in the midst of everyday life, and may God abundantly bless your apostolic work for many years to come. – at Delray Beach, FL
Today is the one-year anniversary of the passing of Matt, Matt and Val.
Here are reflections on their lives, from someone who accompanied them on their hiking trip that day.
Please remember these three men in your prayers today.

In a message for Lent, the Prelate of Opus Dei encourages us to be "sowers of peace and joy."
As Pope Leo XIV has said, "Let us strive to measure our words and cultivate kindness and respect in our families, among our friends, at work, on social media, in political debates, in the media and in Christian communities."

Let us ask the Lord that, in a world so often marked by tension and division, we may, with God’s grace, become bridge-builders.
May we strive to understand others, value diversity, and cultivate the virtues of living together in harmony.
