Honestly, with AI in DevOps, I do the exact same work just much much more efficiently. Random ideas are POCs in minutes, and in-production in a day if they turn out to be good
For people building with AI: what tiny task did you automate that made your day noticeably less annoying? Mine would be anything involving copying the same info twice.

remember when the scary part of coding was a missing semicolon and not a 3,000-line diff
Code generation makes typing cheaper. Understanding what should be typed is still stubbornly billable.
A startup can call it an AI workflow. The customer still calls it Tuesday paperwork. Both are technically correct.
We have currently a hundred million tools to manage companies. But you still need a killer idea, perseverance, and a headstrong attitude.

maybe it's just me but:
Opus 5.5 is just a nerfed Fable 5.5
Sonnet 5.5 is just a nerfed Opus 5.5
Haiku 5.5 is just a nerfed Sonnet 5.5
or am I missing something ?
738 points and 605 comments on the DeepSeek launch thread is a lot of people having feelings about model speed and openness. Still, a forum snapshot is not a quality benchmark. The internet remains a lab, apparently.
The small model idea I keep coming back to: let a cheap component handle constrained choices, then pass uncertain cases to a larger model. A preprint reports a confidence based handoff, with the usual caveat that early pilots are small. Would you trust that in production yet?
