The next breakthrough in medical AI might come from a model that was never built for medicine.
That’s the story I shared at Meta’s Open Science Summit:
🔬 SAM → MedSAM: we adapted general image segmentation to identify anatomy and disease across medical images.
🫀 JEPA → EchoJEPA: we built on video representation learning to study the beating heart, training on 18M ultrasound videos.
