🙌🏻 a Wrexham legend & a gentleman - good luck in the future @thehumphreyker
He arrived to a room of bemused player faces and plenty of doubt.
He leaves as a non-playing #WxmAFC legend.
The work Humphrey Ker has done for the club cannot be understated. After all, he's the EXACT reason the takeover happened in the first place.
And he put his own family life and career path on hold to become the conduit between Rob and Ryan and the club & fans.
He went on every podcast & TV/radio show going to talk up the owners and the club, never once taking any credit himself.
He defended the honour of the club and owners and ensured everyone knew this was a serious (ad)venture and not a vanity project.
An honourable man of distinction, humility and infectious enthusiasm, Humphrey became one of us in an instant. He got it. He got us.
So, thank you for everything @thehumphreyker . You will be sorely missed by everyone.
The best. Absolutely no argument against. 💙
343 clean sheets in 751 games for Everton. The greatest to ever do it. 🐐
Happy birthday, @NevilleSouthall. 💙

'Everton go into the season now with 18 outfield players.
'One is unfit (Christian Norgaard arrived injured from Arsenal), one is disillusioned (Jake O’Brien). They have one right-back, one left-back with no back-up (Adam Aznou was allowed to join Malaga on loan) and Thierno Barry is their only recognised striker.'
Summing up a disasterclass of a transfer window, @DKingTelegraph reports that many fans view the club's actions as negligence ⤵️

Whoever sanctioned the sale of Beto without his replacement already confirmed and signed should be sacked immediately.
Unprecedented levels of incompetence that.

Everton’s transfer window has ended in utter shambles. The CEO was making grand promises two weeks ago, yet they let Beto leave before Balogun was secured. Amateurish, reckless & completely unacceptable leadership. The club flip-flopping from one crisis to another. This is bad.
📢📢 - 1878s STATEMENT - 📢📢
We thought the potential sale of our biggest young talent was bad enough, but the last 24 hours has topped that.
On Saturday Moyes said "I don't think we can afford to lose any players, we need to stay as strong as we can” - Since then we have lost another 5 players (3 of them who have left play in areas we needed to strengthen in) and only brought 2 in.
To leave us with no back up full backs and just one striker is full on gross negligence, not forgetting we also lost one of our best players at an under valued price in today’s market in the process without replacing him too.
We stated on Sunday that we do not feel that our fanbase’s ambitions and the club’s ambitions align right now - what happened yesterday has proved that even more.
As a group we will still be standing down for the foreseeable future and will not be dedicating a huge amount of our own time to put together the displays that we do that try and generate the best pre match atmosphere possible.
To be clear, this is nothing against the signings we have made, we welcome them to the club and wish them the best of luck here.
However, like the rest of our fanbase, we are utterly disappointed and disgusted with how this transfer window has gone, especially the end of it.
Also for fans asking, just to reiterate - When we design flags, there are rules and regulations that we have to adhere to regarding the wording on our flags during displays, we are not allowed derogatory or offensive wording or images.
If we were able to get a load of flags in the ground to show our feelings of discontent, disappointment & anger over this whole situation, believe us, we would, but this is something that simply wouldn’t be allowed.
Despite how we all feel we still urge fans to get behind our team on the pitch for 90 mins like we did at Bournemouth on Saturday.
We will fully support any action the fanbase takes in reaction to this extremely poor transfer window.
OUR MOTTO IS THE STANDARD WE EXPECT!

Two summer transfer window plan.
We have one left back. One right back. One striker.
We sold our second striker, without securing his replacement.
Our best player has been sold. Our brightest young prospect was almost sold.
We have 18 outfield players in the squad.
Nothing short of disgraceful 🔵⚪️

Everton finish the summer with just 18 senior, outfield players.
If just one of those is injured or suspended then the only way the club can fill a matchday squad with senior players is by naming two keepers on the bench.
Understand the move intended to take Folarin Balogun to Everton is now off

BREAKING Folarin Balogun walks away from a deal at Everton.
I understand he has a medical which showed up some issues. Everton worked hard to keep deal alive and renegotiate terms with Monaco
Both sides were happy & the deal was signed by clubs & player but Balogun then walked

BREAKING: Reports around Folarin Balogun tonight and his move to Everton.
I understand the deal for the striker IS still being worked on right now by Everton and Monaco

📣📣📣 1878s STATEMENT 📣📣📣
First and foremost the 7 of us in this group are fans, fans who spend our hard earned money to follow our team home and away like many others. We are nothing else, just fans like everyone else who wants the best for our football club.
We are an independent group, who have developed a good relationship with the club over the years. However, it doesn’t mean to say that we agree with every decision the club makes and in this situation we certainly don’t.
The potential sale of Harrison Armstrong goes against everything our fanbase stands for, a young talented scouser who is the future of our club.
Should the sale of Harrison Armstrong go ahead, as a group of blues who all do this in our spare time for free, have full time jobs & children.
It has been decided, as a group, that we will be standing down for the foreseeable future and will not be dedicating a huge amount of our own time to put together the displays that we do that try and generate the best pre match atmosphere possible.
We do not feel right now that our fanbase’s ambition and clubs ambition align.

If we were able to get a load of flags in the ground to show our feelings of discontent, disappointment & anger over this whole situation, believe us, we would, but this is something that simply wouldn’t be allowed.
We still urge fans to get behind our team on the pitch and sing our hearts out for 90 mins like we did yesterday at Bournemouth.
We will support any actions taken by our fans regarding this.

✍️If The Friedkin Group sanction Harrison Armstrong's sale, it will be an act of vandalism, a removal of hope. A Liverpool-born player has represented Everton every year since 1887/88 - cashing in would have lasting ramifications
