GSD Path 1.4.0 is out, with multi-repo support and native Windows.
Multi-repo support
If your project spans more than one repo, GSD Path now handles all of them from one place. A parent repo runs the project, and child repos are listed in .project/MEMBERS.md. They can be existing repos or new ones GSD Path creates for you on GitHub. Tasks say which repo they belong to, and one milestone covers the whole project.
It's built to keep agents in their lane:
→ Each child-repo task runs in its own isolated checkout
→ Guard hooks stop agents from working in the wrong repo
→ Child repos can't push without an authorization for that exact commit
→ Every landing is journaled, so a crash mid-way recovers cleanly
→ Verify checks each repo and stops if one drifts
→ Ship each child repo straight to main or through a pull request
Native Windows
GSD Path now runs directly on Windows with Git Bash, no WSL needed. The installer, hooks, dispatch, and verify all work natively. The full test suite runs on a Windows CI job that blocks every merge.
Also in 1.4.0
→ AGENTS.md rules now live in a managed block, with room for your own additions
→ Quick lanes can run unattended with pre-approved gates
→ A hardened local dashboard daemon
Coming soon: a native desktop app to manage GSD Path installs and see project status at a glance.

Phase 0 — Inspect
GSD Path · Phase 0: Inspect
Before changing an existing codebase, understand it. Path maps the architecture and checks documentation claims against the code.
Start with evidence about what exists, what works, and what has drifted.

The next generation of GSD is here. 🚀
AI coding agents have evolved - and the skills guiding them need to evolve too.
Meet GSD Path, a revamped GSD workflow built for how today’s agents plan, build, and ship software.
Path brings clear phase gates, durable project state, parallel builds, and verification into one workflow. Your plans, decisions, and progress stay in your project files, ready for the next session.
From a single idea to a multi-milestone project, Path keeps the work moving while keeping you in control.
Works with Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, and other supported coding agents.

Introducing GSD Graph, an open source toolkit for building grounded local knowledge graphs.
GSD Graph extracts relationships from your project knowledge, preserves where those relationships came from, and lets developers and AI agents ask multi-hop questions with answers grounded in the underlying sources.
It is built for connecting documentation, planning, requirements, research, decisions, and other local knowledge without relying on a hosted graph service.
Extract. Normalize. Connect. Query. Ground.

Turn ideas into scoped issues, ship PRs, and audit outcomes across Codex, Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Grok Build & Kimi Code.
Nothing new to the world, but a solid loop skill. Everyone talks about the loop .. but how do you actually run one ?

GSD Core v1.7.0 is out!
GSD is moving toward one shared workflow engine across runtimes. Claude, Codex, OpenCode, Cursor, Cline, Kimi, Antigravity, Augment, Copilot, Windsurf, VS Code, and more are being brought onto the Embeddable Orchestration System.
This release is about making GSD easier to run across more AI tools, easier to embed into host apps, and safer to install across different environments.
What changed:
More tools supported
v1.7.0 expands and migrates runtime support across the AI tooling ecosystem, so GSD workflows can behave more consistently no matter where you run them.
Easier integrations
New host-integration and SDK work makes it cleaner for apps, plugins, and companion MCP servers to connect with GSD instead of each runtime needing one-off glue.
Safer setup
This release adds portability hardening, install write-confinement, runtime build self-healing, version-skew warnings, and cross-platform checks to reduce broken installs and hidden drift.
Also included:
Community and EoS registry discoverability catalogs
Plugin marketplace support
gsd rebuild / rebuild-core improvements
ZCode runtime descriptor
Brownfield onboarding workflow
External job capability groundwork
Better statusline context and branch/status options

GSD Core v1.6.0 is out 🚀
This release hardens the foundation for capability-driven workflows:
Capability trust stack: versioned manifests, source ledgers, trust gates, upgrade compatibility
Capability CLI: install, update, remove, list, disable, enable, and check outdated capabilities
Runtime + agent distribution: registry overlays, 8 agent converters, and .claude-plugin/plugin.json shipping
Guarded verification: context exhaustion guards, UAT routing, drift pre-checks, and source-backed review verification

GSD-Pi v1.3.0 is all about making agent workflows steadier under real pressure: stronger tool-surface readiness before sessions begin, provider-gated web search, cleaner shell control with interruptible awaits and graceful kills, safer closeout through milestone settlement, tougher DB/transaction handling, and a web auth toggle for more flexible deployments.
It’s a release focused on recovery, reliability, and keeping long-running GSD work moving without silent failure modes.
