It's official! BCIT is now a member of the @openetc, joining 14 other BC post-secondary institutions. Today, the Educational Technology and Learning Design Committee (part of Education Council) voted to endorse use of OpenETC for open education purposes. Let's go exploring! 🙂

Also shoutouts to @Bccampus for support of the OpenETC, @mweller for writing the book that was remixed into a podcast, and @visualthinkery for creating the OpenETC mascot. (listen to this episode for open licensed chicken themed music!)

I did notice that 3 of them used the @openETC open infrastructure, which suggests something about the importance of that? But I'm biased;-)

It's been such a satisfying experience to see the @OpenETC take flight, to work alongside talented, idealistic and fun people in the process. WIll need to write a post to properly thank others, but @TroyWelch1 deserves a shout-out for his efforts keeping the platforms together.
