We wrote an open protocol for AI agent scheduling at @Wix.
The Universal Scheduling Protocol (USP) — 7,500 lines of spec defining how AI agents discover, hold, and book time based services. JSON Schemas, OpenAPI, OpenRPC, MCP binding. Apache 2.0.
Wix runs one of the largest booking platforms in the world. We took 9 years of domain knowledge and published it as an open standard instead of keeping it behind our APIs.
Now collaborating with @stripe on this. We just completed the first real end-to-end agentic payment — AI agent discovers a service, holds a slot, pays via Stripe, booking confirmed. One atomic operation.
Working together to establish a UCP Domain Working Group for scheduling. Multiple companies joining. Open governance.
