This weekend in Paris, we saw some real chaotic protests. There were ZERO deaths but many arrests. Kenya experienced similar scenes, yet the result was over 60 protesters shot dead by police, some on live television, alongside people being abducted, tortured and, in some cases, later found dead in rivers and dams. Others were released, sometimes after intense public pressure. At one point, even the Attorney General’s son was abducted(yikes!). In Paris, I watched groups of young, hooded men breaking into shops. Yet I haven’t heard of an abduction squad systematically snatching them from their homes at night, only for some to later turn up in a mortuary. Hope this helps.
