Onivim is such a great editor. Extensions of VSCode with the convenience of modal editing (vim). It's only $40 for a LIFETIME commercial license. That's a great price. Give @bryphe your money, he's doing work. @oni_vim

I'm really impressed by the work done on @oni_vim 2. It's an editor that brings vim's superpowers and VSCode's ecosystem together in an native editor, written in C, with sublime text level of performance and responsiveness. Really promising. ➡ onivim.io/

It took me quite long time to finish. And now I have 1 less roadblock for me to use @oni_vim ! File preview is live in nightly builds! Happy New Year! 🎉

I just watched @bryphe (Bryan Phelp's) Vim Con talk on @oni_vim, really cool stuff. Just upgraded my build 0.5.0 to the most recent nightly build, and wow super impressive for something in early alpha. Can't wait for 0.6.0, I think I need to learn Reason ML 🤔

@oni_vim Just pre-ordered this beautiful IDE for 40$ (50%). OniVim is a merge of VS-Code and VIM. Very impressive progress and nice programming experience with a lot of language servers.

Also very impressed by @oni_vim. It is still in beta, but exceeds VSCode + vim experience by A LOT. Really looking forward to further development of this IDE.
I’ve just gotten around to trying @oni_vim and am well impressed — fast vi-like modal code editing and support for VSCode extensions. And I’ve only just switched to using VSCode...

Speaking of #developers and #editors, did you know that the @oni_vim editor is starting to take shape? When it's done you'll have a wicked-fast, multi-platform #Vim'ish editor that supports VSCode extensions and looks and feels #awesome! onivim.github.io

Added a ruby VScode extension, and I'm a couple weeks into solely writing ruby for my job in @oni_vim 2. Even with some formatting quirks, I've become addicted to the responsiveness on huge files. Excited for more improvements!
Just pushed out our 0.5.0 release! Improved VSCode extension compatibility, signature help, hover, extension installation, bug fixes, and more! 🎉 Blog post & next steps for 0.6.0: patreon.com/posts/40303878 Builds here: v2.onivim.io/early-access-po… Thank you! Stay safe and healthy!

The scrolling in @oni_vim is all I need 🤯

It's been a while since I checked out Oni2. Nice polished feature I discovered: Smooth scroll animation on page down or any cursor jump. These are really hard to do with a vim core unless you completely rebuild the frontend renderer like Oni2 has done. cc @alex_frantic

Installing vscode extensions in @oni_vim is quite a game changer. I remember trying the first onivim editor and was blown away at how good it was. Really think oni2 is a game changer and could get more people into modal editing.

I've just published my first blog post! Far from the first one I've written, but this is the first one I've felt confident enough in to release. It's about how I implemented font fallback in @reveryui -- not the juiciest topic but one I had fun writing! zachbayl.in/blog/font-fallba…

@zachbaylin has made some incredible contributions this summer! One of these is font-fallback - a complicated aspect of text rendering, but important for CJK font rendering and emojis. This really levels @reveryui up! Thanks for all the hard work Zach! Great write-up 🥳
