Many people have asked me which indicators I use to trade. While you can obviously squeeze out gains using TA, an event-driven style has proven to be much more profitable for me. I look at short-term catalysts, their likelihood of occurring, their impact on the market, compile it to form a thesis, example below. Q4: Hike Rate Increase: Chance of happening, very low. Impact on market: low/medium bearish Hike Rate Remains the Same: Chance: Very high. Impact: Low bullish Mt. Gox Release: Chance: High. Impact: Very low bearish ETF: Chance: medium/high. Impact: Medium bullish Binance Collapse: Chance: Very low. Impact: High bearish China Bullish News: Chance: High. Impact: Very low-very high (depending on the news) China Bearish News: Chance: Medium. Impact: Very low Regulatory Shit: Chance: Very high. Impact: Extremely low. tldr: I'm bullish medium-term here. Not a lot of black swans left except Binance, most stuff that would nuke us have a low chance of playing out, a lot of high probability stuff that pumps us note: I might be biased here, this isn't an answer sheet, but a walkthrough of my process when making a trade, you make your own conclusions.
